What actually happened regarding the “party switch”?

I am curious about what actually happened surrounding the “party switch.”

I have mostly heard more liberal takes on this. I’m looking to hear more conservative takes as well. But all are welcome.

Because tbh, it’s hard for me to believe the parties just randomly switched over time. I also think many people are thinking too regional about it: “The South has always been racist” so they make reasons to keep it that way. I mean, we had people moving, new generations, etc. Wouldn’t it be more plausible to assume the “swap” was simply different people and generations voting differently than those before them?

Here’s an example to hopefully clear up my word vomit😆: A Conservative Democratic man in history has a son. The son agrees with certain conservative points but not the Democratic Party as a whole, so he votes Republican. And this continues to change throughout generations due to people having unique beliefs.

Again, I’m just trying to learn more about a topic that has confused me without any fluff or backtracking. I live in the south, so I don’t care to hear any modern stereotypes because I see what it’s like down here first-hand. I think that’s where most “explanations” lose me.

“Quit comparing abortion to __”

One thing pro-choicers HATE is when we call them out on the historical targeting of certain demographics. Specifically, slavery and the Holocaust. Yet their terminology is the same as the historical instances.

“Parasite” has probably been the most common term they use for fetuses. Nazi propaganda said the SAME thing about Jewish people. They want to push the idea that fetuses are this disgusting, blood-sucking disease to “rationalize” murder… the same thing the Nazis did.

“My body, my choice” has probably been the most common phrase to excuse the murder of fetuses. They believe the fetus is not a person but belongs to them. Slaves were literally classified as property, and their enslavers had full control over them. Pro-choices claim they’re being deprived of their rights… the same thing enslavers did.

So the next time you see a pro-choicer roll their eyes or look flabbergasted when you call them out, feel free to use this. They forget we will eventually be history as well, and they will be on the same side as those Nazis and enslavers.

Rage Bait Flight

In this scenario, they’re all alive. So no cop-out of “well they’re dead”. Also *edit* I think I did it backwards: 1 & 6 are the back of the flight.

1 Window: Caillou & Captain McCrea

2 Aisle: Marlin & Anxiety

3 Middle: Joe Biden & Donald Trump

4 Aisle: Anne Frank & Osama Bin Laden

5 Middle: Homelander & Joffrey Baratheon

6 Middle: Jeffrey Epstein & Nemo

7 Aisle: Tom Lizard & Cristiano Ronaldo

8 Window: Karen & Crying Baby

9 Middle: Annoying Orange & Fred Figglehorn

10 Aisle: Nina & Ms. Rachel (Edit: “Nina Needs To Go” is a show starring Nina, a little girl who always needs to use the bathroom when it’s inconvenient)

‼️Things to keep in mind‼️:

  1. Whining & Laziness
  2. Both very anxious. Marlin can’t see Nemo but he’s by a pdf.
  3. Arguments
  4. Jewish girl and a literal terrorist that hates Jews & Americans.
  5. Assholes
  6. A pdf and a child whose dad will check in constantly
  7. Constantly pushing the call button
  8. Whining and kicking your seat
  9. Constant annoyance

Bleeding in 2nd Trimester

I noticed some pinkish discoloration on my toilet paper. I used a q tip to confirm it was not coming from my urethra.
I went to the ER. They drew blood, got a urine sample, and performed an ultrasound. They said everything checked out good and said it was probably from my placenta moving up.

Has anyone else experienced this? I’m cramping more than usual and have pinkish bleeding (I say this to highlight it’s not bright red bleeding). But they said I’m good… idk I just want to hear from people that have experienced this to know what to expect.

Update: It’s now bright red bleeding. About the same amount as my periods were. If you’re the praying type, please keep us in your prayers. I’m absolutely terrified.

ISO Gender Reveal Game Ideas!

My man and I have decided to find out together before doing a reveal. We want to plan a reveal soon after, but we don’t want the typical confetti cannons and stuff like that.

He had the idea of doing some sort of game that reveals the gender by playing. When I try to Google ideas, the closest it gives is just doing a regular game and then whoever wins gets to unlock a random box to reveal it. That sounds boring to me.

Give me any ideas you may have! We’re just not sure how to rig a game to have the answer at the end. Help!😅

A bit vulgar

I’m sorry if this is too vulgar. I just joined this sub, so if it’s not allowed, let me know.

Reddit & Pregnancy Rules

Is it common to get permabanned on pregnancy subs for mentioning adoption instead of abortion??

On a different sub, a pregnant teen was mad her parents wouldn’t let her abort (multiple reasons) and it’s illegal in her state. I said adoption could be a compromise because the baby lives AND you don’t have to raise it. I got permabanned for “Anti-choice rhetoric”.

There were people in the comments instructing her how to abort at home, yet I’m in trouble for saying adoption seems like the best option to satisfy her and her family?

Someone teach me how to Reddit🫩

Needing help with room dividers

Photo for context.

Our ferrets have their own room, but it’s been a pain having to keep the closet blocked off and cleaning the floor vent from their accidents. We will still be providing them with plenty of space, but we would like to section off that area of the room.

What would you recommend as ferret-safe/proof room dividers? I know they’re little escape artists, so I don’t want to waste money on something they’ll break out of in 2 seconds (especially if we unblock the closet because I don’t want them getting hurt). Thank you!
