I drove by it this morning and it looked like it was knocked over and there were police barricades around it, anyone know if it was vandalism or if they’re just working on it or something?

Hi there, I’m listening to A Symphony of Echoes, book two of the Chronicles of St Mary’s series and I think I’m missing something regarding an important plot point.

I’ve got a couple hours left in the book and thus far one of the major plots has been a massive fight/rift between Max and Chief Farrell.

I remember the fight being started because Chief didn’t want to sleep with Max at one point early in the novel, but I feel like there’s more to it that I must have missed.

Max destroyed his car after the incident and has been livid with him all book, and references him rejecting her, but the reaction seems way overboard for not being in the mood one time.

Please tell me I’m missing something?
