Has the 700 custom part meta moved away from stacking part resistance lately?

I've only been back at the game for about a month now after a break, but watching YouTube videos from all the S rankers, I'm noticing more builds where max resistance isn't always occurring, and thrust or damage is sometimes taking its place. I feel like I've seen quite a few builds where melee resist might only be around 30.

I understand the thrust meta, but I'm curious if damage stacking has somehow become more efficient at times than resistance. Even with my high melee resistance builds I find that I'm still exploding at times, and that things hit hard af.

Just though I'd get some thoughts!

Curious about what happened in this tackle scenario

Hi all,

I had an odd tackle scenario in a 700 match against a Narrative B2-packs.

I've been reading all of its skills to see if there's some kind of skill mechanic that I'm not understanding that occurred, but I'm coming up with no answers.

Scenario:

I find myself separated from the group after falling down the colony's center pit, and see a Narrative B2-packs support.

-My weapon is drawn, and at some point I hit it with a head on tackle, so I can do the 'ol stun and priority swing (now this is where I'm curious if I'm misinterpreting how the mechanic works, it always seems to work for me in lower costs, as I assume I should get the first action after a tackle strike)

-I strike it with a normal hit, and see it take damage. Muscle memory makes me input the downswing after the first hit

-I get countered somehow

What I saw was the Narrative boost sideways immediately after my tackle ended, while simultaneously getting hit with my first strike. It didn't get the usual stunhit animation, it just continued gliding sideways. Once it's feet hit the ground again the instant tackle came out.

Is this just lag, or was I wrong in how this should have played out in my favour? It's late where I'm at right now, and would be about 3:30pm in Japan time, so I'm curious if playing against Japanese players is screwing me over in terms of latency. It would be good to learn something new though if I didn't realize a mechanic at play here.

Thanks!

The Zeta space scenario is so damn fun

I don't know what it is about this scenario vs others, but it feels so good. It could have something to do with being a space mission, but it kind of what I imagine playing GBO2 near launch would feel like.

You have all these off-meta suits that get to see the light of day like Methuss, Quebeley, Zeta etc. Although it is funny seeing a cracked recently buffed Super Gundam in the game too haha

The Ace's are ridiculously OP vs the grunts, but that adds to feeling like Zeta is actually on the battlefield. Perhaps this is similar to other scenarios, and maybe I'm just a sucker for the fact that it's a Zeta scenario haha.

Going from playing Zeta and tearing the battlefield apart, and getting into Barzam the next match and feeling how slow and clunky it is in comparison is pretty cool for narrative reasons.

Just noticed that enhancements are power creeping too

Hopefully this doesn't come off as too much of a rant, but I just realized that BB is even power creeping the enhancements.

Older 4* units tend to have things like 'Emergency Melee Defense System LV1- Reduces melee damage to MS HP by 5% while toppled', along with silly things like Support Fire Resistance LV3.

Now I'm not sure how long they've been doing this, as I took a year off, but it looks like newer 4* get Emergency Melee Defense System LV2 now, getting an extra 5% melee defense for no reason other than being newer releases.

It just seems kind of petty to changeup the standard like this and try and 'sneak in' little extra perks like this for no reason

Older units in other cost ranges have silly discrepancies like getting lame level 5/6 bonuses like "Reduces time needed to defuse bombs by 2 seconds" and "Reduced time needed to capture MS by 3 seconds", which is present with the Rick Dias, whereas if it was released today it would be a +4 ranged damage buff.

Maybe I'm overanalyzing this, but I can't help be like whyyyyy. Unit adjustments never fix shitty enhancement bonuses, it's just a micro perk that adds a little bit more to the power creep :(

A question for those solid S/S+ players

When I watch high level gameplay, it always appears that every match has people playing aggressively.

The battlefield is constantly moving and looks chaotic enough that there isn't time for the '4 guys dogpiling 1 downed enemy' mentality. Otherwise from the looks of it, you'd get hit from behind while staring at the ground from all the enemies flying around.

My question is, are most matches like this, or is there still a fair share of those mindless matches?

Every time I attempt 700 I feel like it's incredibly punishing if the team isn't backing each other up. I know every cost you'll look at the map and see 2 random teammates solo off in a corner, but in 700 the wipeout streak is amplified and sped up.

Just wondering if this ever ends lol. I've always avoided 700, but lately I've been dipping my toes into it. A large percentage of games feel much more aggravating though compared to low costs.

Is it possible to roll the V2AB banner towards next months missions?

Sometimes it seems like the banners roll over into the next month, but I'm assuming it's not possible this month? The monthly reset always catches me off guard, but it feels like it'll expire this month before the reset which seems odd

Intelcom/Dragonfly fraudulently claiming delivery was refused by recipient. Has anyone had this issue?

Hi all,

As title mentions, I noticed I received an email from Dragonfly yesterday claiming that 'recipient refused delivery and doesn't want packages delivered anymore'.

At first I was wary of a scam email, but the tracking message matches the description of a failed delivery.

Has anyone had bogus claims like this? How do you get your package if there aren't any direct contact methods? I can't believe carriers can exist that operate like this.

Thanks!

Looking to hear from those with the PEM/CFS that have made progress recovering

Hi all,

I'm primarily interested in hearing of those who knew they specifically had the PEM subtype of long COVID and made a recovery, or at least felt their baseline permanently improve.

I've been reading a lot of stories lately in the /r longhaulersrecovery [unfortunately can't post questions in that sub] and it's been dawning on me that I'm seeing a lot of stories from different subtypes that seem to mention fatigue, but never had the permanent setbacks after each crash.

I'm very happy for them, but I've been hoping to see the PEM subtype have success stories. I seem to see a lot of the MCAS etc. types doing well.

The most worrisome thing about the PEM subtype I'm finding, is that our baseline seems to reduce to a scary amount over time, from things that you wouldn't think would. I'm dying to hear good news from people that have had big setbacks manage to rebuild themselves.

Hoping to hear some good experiences!

I've been slowly declining over 6 months. Curious about people's stories who've recovered, what their recovery curve looked like.

Hi all,

I've been trying to stay positive lately, and have been curious if anyone has gone through a similar scenario as mine. I'd like to just say I've been pretty fortunate, as I'm experiencing long COVID for a 2nd time (first time was short lived), and up to now was able to live a decent life.

As a timeline:

-December: Hit with a flu, and recovered as normal. Around 20 days later (more like 15 days if you subtract recovery time), I got a second flu (probably COVID), which was the kiss of death for what I'm currently experiencing. Flu symptoms lasted an abnormal amount of time (~30 days)

-February: My first huge crash. Debilitated by fatigue for 1 day. I stopped all physical training outside of working, as I recognized this right away as the long COVID/CFS type of fatigue. I was going to work and pushing through some sporadic days where the fatigue was becoming harder to ignore. Beginning to have migraines after work and napping.

-March: Sports-related plans (climbing) had me out of the country for most of the month. Not working meant I had enough energy to be active, but I could tell I wasn't recovering too well during the trip.

-April: I'm back at work, and the migraines and post-work naps are becoming very common. I do one big run with a friend, attempt another one the next week, and have to stop 1/8th of the way through. I feel fatigued in a scary way, and questioned whether I'd even have the energy to get myself back out of the forest trails and back home.

-1 week later I went climbing, which was an incredibly stupid mistake in hindsight. This was the kiss of death #2, where from here on I can tell my baseline has been affected.

-May to Present: My first multi day crash which lasted ~10 days. Would be debilitated for 4 days, attempt work, and then have to rest again.

-After resting enough, I had one last week of feeling relatively normal, and thought 'Oh great, maybe I'm good now'. This turned into another crash, leading into 5 days of being housebound/at times bedbound, which now leads us into the present.

I can tell my baseline is fragile now. I tried one last half-shift at work today, and I'm convincing myself to stop at this point. I can feel the crash symptoms already.

----------

Now I've been coming to terms with how serious this has become for me, as work doesn't seem to be an option anymore. I'm sure many of you can relate.

I was hoping to hear some of your stories, and if you've had a similar experience to me. Maybe some of you have had a turnaround, or similar severity to me. I'm open to hearing others' stories who may have not been lucky for a turnaround yet as I don't want to discount others' experiences though. Hearing different timelines is nice to see if there's any correlation.

This whole experience has shown me very 'real' side to illness. I feel like I would never have been able to relate to people with horrible afflictions before now, but now I get how lonely, uncertain, and grating it is to feel terrible for days on end. I really feel for those of you who've been going through this longer than I have, and worse than I have. Hope y'all are hanging in there, I might be here awhile too 😥

Anyone get weird "energy chills"?

Hi all,

I have a somewhat fortunate history of long covid (2024- 3 months of heavy fatigue, followed by a bit of a remission in 2025), but since ~January of this year my fatigue has returned following a series of catching multiple flus. Edit: I figured I'll add that following these flus, I had flu-like symptoms that lasted way beyond a reasonable timeline. Mucus for 6 weeks+ etc.

I'm getting quite worried, as the past few weeks things seem to be getting more and more...odd. Migraines were something I dealt with in the past, but out of the woodworks I've been getting ocular migraines, fight or flight responses being more difficult to control, and the one I'm most curious about, being these "energy chills".

I looked it up on google, and it doesn't sound similar enough to me to the description of POTS or adrenaline dumping.

What I'm experiencing is my body uncontrollably doing a "cold shiver movement", but I can tell it's caused by adrenaline or something of the sort, and not a fever/flu imitation-type response. It's a pretty gross feeling, like it's not comfortable being in my body for these brief moments. Following these shivers, I feel energized, like I could do any activity I wanted for a bit.

This happened to me last night too before going to bed, following a heavy crash earlier in the day.

Anyways, I feel like I'm blabbing a little bit. I'm curious if anyone experiences these as well, and if they'd be a sign that maybe things are improving, or getting worse.

Early this week I had one of the most normal feeling days I've had in awhile, but then it feels like a switch was flipped, and now I'm moving towards one of the worst weeks all year. I'm having higher highs, and lower lows it seems.

Thanks!

Edit: Coincidentally this is my first night of dizziness while trying to sleep. Man these fun symptoms just keep on coming.

Hi all,

I understand that each knife has their respective specialties, but as someone just starting a collection, I'm looking for which knife is better rounded for both filleting smaller fish, and very simple (grocery store) deboning (Ex. Chicken thighs). For general things like cuttings onions, I have other knives for that.

It would be a shame to get something like a Honesuki if it's annoying to filet a fish, when a Deba would be perfectly adequate to get through a chicken thigh etc.

Also I'm sure either/or can technically make do. But I love overanalyzing things, and would like to make the best choice! 😆
