Wilderness - Great Outdoors Collection, 300 pieces by Ravensburger Puzzles. Art by Cory Carlson.

Another lovely nature landscape from Ravensburger’s Great Outdoors collection. These 300 piece puzzles are always a pleasant and quick way to while away some time. I love all the animals and the beautiful sky that can also be seen reflected in the water.

“Woodland Scene, 300 pcs by Bits and Pieces Puzzles. Art by David Galchutt.

What a lovely scene by a fave artist David Galchutt. It was a pleasure to piece this together. The woodland animals are all so cute, even the colorful snake that I typically loathe and fear. Isn’t the skunk just precious! I love this illustration!

Flowers in New York, 300 pieces. Ravensburger Puzzles. Art by Lewis Miller Design.

So I learned a few things with this puzzle. I learned what a Flower Flash is. I had seen this puzzle image and another, similar floral collage in 1000 pieces (actually picked up one at Ollie’s for $4.99 too), but didn’t have a clue that the floral art I was seeing was actually floral street art installations designed by Lewis Miller Designs in NYC. What a great way for them to utilize excess flowers from events!

I found this entire concept very fascinating, immediately diving into their website and getting lost in all their many photos. While researching for a “G word that moves” within this image for Puzzlegories puzzle along event (like Scattergories), I also learned that a ghost bike is a roadside bicycle memorial and I was clued into the idea that the partially dismantled bike on the right side of the image that is partially hidden by flowers might possibly be a ghost bike. I live in a much smaller city than New York City, and we have street art that changes occasionally, but I can never expect to see such grand street art as these beautifully huge, colorful, and fresh floral arrangements. 🌷🌼🌹

Influence me to buy or to pass with your vote…

I want them and I don’t want them. I definitely do not need them, but when has that ever mattered when it comes to puzzles? 🤭 Influence me with your vote by commenting “BUY” or “PASS” and tell me why if you wish.

“Porcelain”, 1000 pieces, a Cloudberries puzzle. Beautiful art by Karon Ng.

The variety of lovely colors and patterns in this beautifully illustrated art are what drew me in and implored me to purchase this puzzle. And of course I complied. After all, I’m generally a compliant person, and a people pleaser too. 😁

I completed this one back in February and couldn’t post it at the time because it was one I was completing as a calendar style mystery puzzle exchange with a friend and we would be completing a small selection of pieces each day for 30 days. Then the exchange was over in early April, and I just totally forgot about posting it.

It was so much fun piecing together the lovely flower filled vases, and I had just as much fun disassembling it into sections that would prolong the puzzle reveal as long as possible for Jillian. I have thoroughly enjoyed each Cloudberries that I’ve completed to date, and this one is no exception. 🏺💐🧩🎨

Bottled Sunshine, 300 pieces. Masterpieces. Art by Hannah Bunzey.

I love the time I spent puzzling this puzzle!🍄 Don’t you think this creative and wildly vibrant art has somewhat of a ‘down the rabbit hole’ vibe?! I also enjoyed working the puzzle, which had a wider variety of large and small random shapes and sizes than I’ve ever worked with before.

“Town Park”, 300 by CEACO. Olivia Gibbs, artist.

Such a sweet illustration of a quaint downtown park on a lovely day. It was nice to get away and spend some time there as I puzzled it after work.

“Surf Fever”, 500 pcs by Boardwalk Puzzles. Art by Jose Velez. A USAJPA Travel Puzzle.

I love the color and general vibe of this puzzle art and it was quite a pleasure to complete! I found the quality to be good and well preserved even after having been completed many times and by many hands as a travel puzzle. You can see in one of the photos where there was an extra solid yellow piece. I didn’t complete the 1000 piece puzzle in this pack, due to it being Halloween themed, which I wasn’t really in the mood to puzzle, and I also didn’t want to start another puzzle with other travelers on the way.

WIP on my first 2000 piece puzzle. Ravensburger’s “Traveling Light” by artist Gary Walton.

It’s slow going because I’ve not got the beat set-up for large pice count puzzling. My husband cut a couple of boards to the proper size since the Ravensburger 2000 piece puzzle was slightly large than my PitaPita 2000 piece puzzle board. Go figure! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Anyhoo, I’m having to piece together sections and then attach on the larger board, since I can’t stand comfortably for too long at a time where the board is and there’s not a proper height chair or stool that I can move into place to puzzle it the traditional way. It’s all good really, since I’ve been puzzling for my summer advent style swap with my friend and prepping her package. I can’t wait to share that with you, but it will have to be after we both start and finish our advent exchange puzzles at the end of June or first of July. So not much posting from me recently. I’m expecting a traveler or two soon that I’ll be completing as I continue this one.

I received some surprise puzzle mail today that really made my day! I completed another of Randal Spangler’s cat puzzles and enjoyed it! Once I discovered this one by him, I added it to my wishlist! I love that this one is in the 500 piece count size! Continuing with a cat theme, I was also gifted a tin with an 80 piece Cats of the British Isles” Victory Wooden Puzzle. It’s so exciting, since I’ve not yet completed a Victory mini. The package also included a chocolate scented artisan soap, and an adorable 1997 CEACO puzzle of the Cookie Monster and his favorite snack! I share heartfelt thanks to the two sweet and generous gifters responsible for this package, and ask forgiveness rather than permission for tagging you here.😃 THANK YOU! 🙏 u/bohinka and u/goodavocado

What a delightfully whimsical dragon! I love that there’s so much to explore within the art image. I did a bit of exploring and discovered a bit of information…

According to artist Sue Coccia, the dragon is a powerful, positive symbol representing transformation, successful abundance, and a deep connection between earth and sky. Her artwork often portrays the dragon as an omen of happiness and success, fitting into her style of intricate animal totems that carry deep spiritual meaning.

Inspired by various mythologies, she views the dragon as a representation of the untamed, powerful forces of nature. The dragon is often depicted in conjunction with other symbols of joy and luck, such as ladybugs, and is seen as a protective, positive force.

Coccia’s art, which often includes small hidden ladybugs within the larger image, focuses on animal totems that encourage viewers to learn from their positive qualities.

The puzzle itself was very enjoyable, with an interesting cut and the consistent quality I’ve come to expect from Wentworth! In addition to the typical whimsies, I found three multiple-piece whimsies in this puzzle.

Thanks you @jmcd0410 for the loan of this puzzle. Spending time assembling it made my day off on Friday extra special! 😃

I completed another Mudpuppy Puzzle today that is adorably cute, colorful, and fun. It also included notes from the artist on the back of the reference poster detailing a bit of information on diversity of love in the animal kingdom. Did you know that male lions form close, long lasting bonds with other male lions? Or that sea otters have been observed holding hands when they sleep so they don’t drift apart in the water? 🥰 Or that a pod of sperm whales accepted a dolphin with an extra curve in his spine? Scientists suspect the whales were a good match for the dolphin’s swimming pace.

My first PuzzleTwist! What a great quality puzzle that was loads of fun to assemble! Although it was apparent initially that the image had more colors than the box image depicted, I enjoyed watching the “full twist” unfold with the click of each piece. This is the first of two PuzzleTwist puzzles that I won last year during the random draws of those who donated to The Alzheimer’s Association during the Longest Day fundraiser that Elizabeth McElveen does annually in memory of her mother on the longest day, aka Summer Solstice. I used to work for the Alzheimer’s Association in my town, and know it to be a wonderful organization with an important mission of ending Alzheimer’s.

Beware of hungry plants! The may be beautiful, but they may also be deadly. Bwaa haa haa

In all seriousness these are lovely carnivorous plants, so no one need fear them except maybe flies, mosquitoes and such. I love the artists style and use of color!

Just the sweetest little bunny in the midst of lovely wildflowers. What a perfect puzzle image for me! It’s so stinking cute!🥰

What a beautiful use of gradient color! I love that there’s so many beautiful animals depicted. Elena Essex Puzzles are on my short list of puzzle brand faves, because their art is so good and all the images are perfect color bombs! Im thinking that this particular puzzle had a mishap at the factory, perhaps receiving an extra layer of the waxy surface coating. The pieces were covered with an abundance of the waxy coating the affected the look and tactile feel of the puzzle. I tried to leave it alone until the puzzle was complete, knowing that it would be easier to clean it after it was finished rather than piece by piece. I ended up having to clean the bottom several rows in order to even be able to complete them because that bottom dark section was 💯 brutal under lamplight. I’m happy to report the surface cleaned up perfectly! I’m sure it was just a one off,as I’ve never experienced this before in any of her puzzles that I’ve done. I’ve included a photo of how the pieces looked, and for comparison, three pieces in the center had been wiped clean.

A find from Marshall’s a few months ago that I forgot about. This puzzle piece punch from @professorpuzzleltd came with several cardstock type images to be cut into puzzle. When I saw the box that I had laid aside and forgotten about, I had to finally give it a try. Now I’m thinking about all the ways I might be able to use this. Ideas?
