I’m just adding this here as data for those that are tracking these issues.

2024 BZ4X with 32k miles
AC quit working
Toyota had it for 3 weeks
Complete AC system replacement
Metal was found throughout the system
Replaced under warranty (thankfully)

The funny, not so funny thing is, these compressor failures are a known issue (at least on this subreddit). It took Toyota 2 weeks to figure this out.

I test drove one at a dealer and they were not budging on price and weren’t offering a lease. They only had one and didn’t know when they would get another one. I have no doubt they will sell it quickly but I’m not going to rush. I’m just wondering if this is the experience others are having?

I’m also wondering if this is the case for many EVs with gas prices being so high.
