Trouser Pattern Fit Critique

Hello this is my 5th or 6th time and probably last time posting because I believe I’m very close to having a perfect fit (unless I get grilled here).

But I added some fabric around the hip as I was criticized on last time to do, and it seems I can sit comfortably with these on (They weren’t tight but I did need to adjust the pins because they came loose when I sat down, don’t know if that necessarily means they’re too tight?)

I made huge improvement on the curved waistband and it’s now 2 pieces and was much easier to sew on albeit it’s not perfect since its attempt 1.

Trousers Fit Test Critique

My latest iteration of a trouser pattern. This time with a (somewhat poor) curved waistband. My issue is it was for one hard to fold in half, possibly because it wasn’t a perfect curve since I made it in clo3D. It’s noted that curved waistbands are better drafted the old fashioned way. Thus it’s not as crisp, and I didn’t add interfacing.

I still see some horizontal lines around crotch area so I’ll add more fabric around there, but that’s all I have so am I wrong or did I miss something based on the images?

Woven Wool fabric alternatives for sample creation

Hello, my final garment I’m making will use a pinstripe woven wool (I think it would be considered mid weight?) and up to this point I’ve been making samples out of muslin to get the fit right.

I got it just about right so now I want to use a material that is more similar to my final garment that is preferably cheap. Any suggestions?

trouser pattern fit update. Any issues?

Hello, back again with my latest iteration of my trouser block pattern. Any noticeable flaws/ fit issues? I did notice the waist band towards the back had a little too much ease but I’ve learned the adjustment to fix. Uploaded the pattern too for more feedback.

Trouser Pattern WIP update

Here’s the latest iteration of my trouser pattern, I will say the only thing I noticed from a novice pov is that the waist is a little too big, but a front darts should fix that I’m assuming? lmk

I think I balanced the pattern properly which was the critic I got last post, but I’m not sure if the side seams needs to he straighter than what they are…

v2 of trouser pattern

Back again from my first try at this a few weeks back.

v1 post here

I added my fabric to the back panels as best as I could to get the drape off the butt right, and added some fabric to the front to release tension around the thighs. These fit a lot better than the first pair but again I’m a novice so any advice would be appreciated.

New to Pattern Drafting and Sewing, How did I do on these trousers?

Title. Using clo3D to draft patterns to cut down on samples needed. Not sure if thats frowned upon but it’s amazing for workflow and less taxing on my back.

Let me know how I did, material is muslin. I plan on using this trouser pattern as a base block once I nail it.
