Need advice from people that replaced the USB assy/screen

So I've previously replaced my battery, that lasted a bit over a year and my US T-Mobile V60 from 2020 started to show signs of degredation. It was really having trouble with the USB port staying connected so I decided to do both this time around. Replaced the USB board w audio board and the ribbon cable. Replaced the battery. Primary screen now doesn't recognize any touch.

I've disassembled and resassembled the thing at least 9 times, even added non conductive "spacers" to make sure the USB ribbon wasn't coming out at either end. Everything works except touch. Fortunately back in the day I bought the dual screen case, so with a combination of a mouse on a OTG or by BT, I'm able to get past the lock screen and then use the second screen. I'm an IT and have messed with plenty of small components before, the cables are seated as best they can be. They don't have debris in them, I can't see any bent pins. It's otheriwse a mint condition phone, lives in a hard shell case.

My question for hoepfully my predecessors, is is the one left side screen ribbon cable the only connection point for touch, or does touch also go through the USB board?

Google AI suggested the later, so I bought 2 more USB board cables (all ended up being the same aftermarket part that's just a bit too long), installed one of those, no change. I can't go back to the original OEM cable even if it was flakey, because I slipped trying to get it off the glue and broke off a tiny component.

So I'm at am impasse of either getting a screen, a screen with frame, another USB board, or what I'd really hate is trying to find a new phone in this market. Advice please?

Logi RS50 w/ NLR 2.0 Stand Inverted

How'd I do for first rig?

New RS50 wheel, hub, pedals.

Turtle Beach VelocityOne H shifter/brake/sequential. I would note that the VL1 does not work through the RS wheel USB ports. So I repurposed a J5create 7 port powered USB hub and plugged both into that, then into a active powered USB 3 extension to the PC at 25/30 ft through a wall.

Next Level Racing 2.0 stand. Inverted the pedals with Home Depot aluminum holed strap doubled up. (You'll need 2 bars at 3 ft if anyone tries the same. You need the thicker ie lower gauge.)

A ton of cords and zip ties to keep it controlled. But I only have to plug in power and 1 USB to run it all. Its on casters to move around.

$766 for the major components and stand. $35 in inversion parts. $60 in USB stuff. So about $860 all in all. Paired to a 77 in Sony and surround. Don't think I did too bad for not having a sim room.
