Has anyone brought a sealed ube cake in a metal tin can on a Cebu Pacific domestic flight?
It's a commercially sealed metal tin can (not a can opener type, just the usual cake tin). I plan to put it in my carry-on. Was airport security okay with it, or did they make you check it in or confiscate it?
Need advice on a reasonable salary increase and benefits package.
I am based in Bacolod, Negros Occidental, Philippines and currently working for a security agency. I started as a part-time office staff while finishing college, then became a regular employee in July 2024.
Salary history:
Started at ₱12,000/month
January 2025 increased to ₱14,000 basic pay + ₱1,000 allowance
A few months later allowance increased to ₱2,000
Current take-home pay is ₱16,000/month (₱14,000 basic + ₱2,000 allowance)
Currently, the company is shouldering both the employer and employee shares of SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG. However, once I get a salary increase, they said the normal setup will apply and I will start shouldering the employee share, while the employer share will remain with the company (as required by law).
So my current take-home pay does NOT yet include deductions like:
SSS employee share (Php 500)
PhilHealth (Php 225)
Pag-IBIG (Php 200)
My responsibilities include:
Payroll processing
Monitoring and processing remittances (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG)
Billing and monitoring collections/accounts receivable
Filing, records management, and document organization
Computer and administrative work
Monitoring applicant requirements and recruitment support
General office operations and occasional errands for management
I've been asked to submit my own salary increase proposal, and management will either approve it or counteroffer.

How much of an increase would you personally propose?
