my theories for jedi 3
i hope i'm allowed to post this.
so i've been forming my theory about Cal's end for quite some time now and i would like to hear your opinion.
its based on a rumor that there's going to be a significant time jump between survivor and the 3rd game.
im thinking Cal must've missed the victory of the rebels or simply doesnt believe that the empire fell¹ so he keeps on doing what he did for the last few years - rescuing people from the remnants and building a society on Tanalorr.²
since he's cut off from the galaxy he dismisses the news of a powerful jedi and the possibility of the new jedi order as he did in Fallen Order. by the time he actually meets jedi master Luke and shares his views on the rebuild it's too late³. Luke already made up his mind and he can't tell him otherwise.
this generates just enough tension between the two that Cal feels he needs to act on it for the sake of the children and meets his end by Luke.⁴
¹-Cal's never been seen on the organized rebel alliance's side
²-battlerfont 2's story shows us how even after ~20 years former imperials still believe in their cause.
³-Cal respects the Jedi as he did with Cere but thinks involving children is not the way.
⁴-Luke later regrets building the new order - he might've had Cal on his mind before attacking Ben Solo
im not sure if there's a better way for Cal to go down while fighting for something he believes in.
can Merrin be an inspiration or an enemy for Morgan Elsbeth?
will Tanalorr be forgotten?
will Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati form their ways following Cal's way of the force?
why can or can't this outcome work?
i obvoiusly have a lot of questions for the story's place in the world of star wars that i'd happily discuss.
thank you for forming your opinion.
