Hi All!

Back at the ole journal again, this Discord stuff is a nightmare man... absolutely no co-operation in the slightest.

Recently I've seen a couple of people get unbanned, I have no idea how since I'd imagine a flying dolphin going over my house shitting rainbows is more likely to happen than discord hiring a capable support team, but hey miracles happen, either that or the AI chatbots have finally learned the virtues of things such as actual co-operation, context, and the fact that the fire emoji isn't a threat that you're going to flame bomb someones house...

Anywho, progression update? I've not found any external boards to help my case so far, it's running dry, all of the systems that seem to do so are either US or EU exclusive, which makes my english arse very sad since we left for some reason a couple of years back... probably so a small group of politicians could pocket the insanely small fees we paid monthly...

This leaves me with the Ofcom board, the UK's media regulation board.

I essentially just went throught the circumstances of my case and how defyingly unreachable discord is, telling them that discord really needs to reconsider how they conduct their support team.

Are they likely to actually do anything from this? no, are they likely to read it? yeah, probably, and that is a win at this point since it's the only formal contact I would've had with anyone throughout this entire ordeal, perhaps a therapist would work lol? don't need one but the notion of someone being so attached to a discord account they need therapy is crazy, then again, I'm the gimp that has been writing about it for 40 days...

• Banned for Child Safety
• Banned for sending a picture of someone shitting on someone with the words “Your Opinion” tagged (my friend dislikes mario party, it was in jest.).
• Already Appealed via the app, got rejected.
• 2 offenses
• Suspension lasts 2 years (until account deletion)
• The account is 7 years old and has MANY valuable resources to me, such as "Professional Connections" (People who are good at the thing I want to specialise in who I occasionally talk to), Lost Contacts, Educational Resources, Archives, Years and YEARS of message backlogs, and certain tight-knit communities I cannot get to now.
• I have made a dispute to disputes@discordapp.com, I have used the (awful) support page, and have contacted the twitter account so far, as well as the aforementioned appeal.
• I am UK Based and believe the ban could be related to the fact I didn't have an ID connected to my account.
• I have gotten IP banned on multiple accounts after this ban.

That's about all, If this fails *I may have to escalate to building a paramilitary and storming discord HQ scientology style.

A good fellow alerted me of a service called an ODS, basically, these services are middlemen to discord, and if I were to submit a request to them I feel discord would be more likely to acknowledge my pleas as there would more than likely be actual repercussions, on the second-last point though, I'm UK based, a lot of people have suggested ODS services that are either US & CA or EU only, I know of Ofcom, but not a lot more than that, so if you know any platforms where I can submit more formal requests please let me know.

All for now I believe but I may make an extra follow up this week, if not, technically consider the Saturday post as coming early cuz I was late last week (or technically this week)

Anyway, as for the last thing, I was thinking of trying (and again this is a sketchy on the fence thing I thought of a couple days ago and have floated ever since.) to contact someone who works at discord directly on a second party platform, I have no idea how I will do this, I doubt I'll resort to anything cyberstalking, but perhaps just LinkedIn or something, perhaps somewhere where someone would be advertised as working for discord, or hell... even someone insanely high up... no idea how I will do this yet, but that is where I am at currently ideas wise, I feel that I have exhausted every tool to get unbanned that is immediately related to discord, and I have no idea whether cracking down an resending the same dispute will actually do anything or not.

But yeah, same old really... Impatient, Slow, and confused as to how we got into a predicament where the support team of one of the largest social media platforms has completely reversed the meaning of support on it's head by it being the act of actively inconveniencing someone instead of helping them... because the reasoning for the ban was purely "shits" and giggles...
