Almost scammed by in-app support?

I needed to contact Spark support through the app so went to the help section & clicked the official phone number. It started with the usual AI assistant to ask where to direct my call & what I needed, and then when it was transferred to a support person overseas I could tell right away that despite the accent it was an AI voice I was talking with, but I figured 'oh well, maybe they're trying something new'. 'He' asked the three usual questions they always ask to confirm my identity (name, phone & email), but then added a new one, asking for the last 4 digits of my social security number. I said something like 'Wow! Scammers infiltrated Spark?' and hung up. Is there a possibility this was a hired support agent overseas using their job to scam drivers?

Of course BCE does 3%, but is there any indication that Amex will add a competitive option for gas, preferably in the form of points, to compete with all the 5% gas card options out there now? (or is there already a better Amex gas option I'm missing?)

First off: I have no intention of parking 25k to get a ‘free’ (not really free) card, this isn’t required, & I’d like to pay the $55 monthly for CashPlus.

Now, I have an E*Trade account I barely use, and understand I could easily apply for MS Plat at full price, but wouldn’t do that either as if paying full price I might as well open it via my Charles Schwab which redeems at .1 higher.

I currently have part of my holdings in a Wealthfront personal investment account that could theoretically be transferred to MS if necessary. Would a transfer of about 40k facilitate getting the type of brokerage account needed to qualify for CashPlus? And would it be worth it with their management fees compared to Wealthfront’s fees?

UPDATE: a recent anecdote says that retirement accounts may be eligible. I’m self employed. Can I roll over my traditional IRA &/or SEP-IRA into MS to qualify as a platinum CashPlus eligible brokerage account, and could those IRAs be self directed or are there minimum fees?
