n8n freelancers, how does the client side actually work?

I’m learning n8n and have some practical questions:

Who provides API keys and credentials?

How do you get access to accounts like Gmail?

How do you host the workflows?

Do you host them or does the client?

How do you securely manage credentials?

And other real-world stuff that tutorials don’t explain. How do you guys handle this?

How do you actually set up n8n in real projects?

I’m learning n8n and I’m curious about the practical side of building workflows:

How are API keys/credentials handled?

How do you connect things like Gmail?

Where do you host the workflow?

How do you manage authentication and permissions?

Basically, what does the real-world setup look like beyond tutorials?

Can I REALLY build complex AI agents and automations with n8n?

I have only basic coding knowledge (C, JavaScript, Python) and rely a lot on vibe coding/AI assistance. Can I realistically build medium-to-complex AI automations and AI agents using n8n?

Realistically, how long does it take to become professionally fluent in speaking?

I have a B2 level in English overall, but my speaking is around B1. I understand conversations well, have a solid grasp of grammar and vocabulary, and usually know what I want to say. The problem is that when I actually start speaking, I hesitate, lose fluency, and struggle to express myself naturally.

(TL) My goal is to use English professionally for client meetings in the future, and I'm willing to dedicate 4 hours a day to improving my speaking.

For those who have reached professional fluency (or taught learners who did), how long did it realistically take before you could speak confidently in high-pressure situations?

I'm not looking for motivation or success stories. I'd really appreciate answers based on real experience: what timeline is realistic, what progress milestones I should expect, and what made the biggest difference.

Can I go from B1 speaking to closing international clients? Be brutally realistic.

I have a B2 level in English. My grammar, vocabulary, reading, and listening are good. I understand conversations well and usually know what I want to say.

The problem is speaking.

When I actually start talking, my mind freezes. I hesitate, lose fluency, and can't express myself smoothly. A speaking test placed me at around B1.

My goal is to start an AI automation agency, so being able to communicate confidently with international clients is essential.

I'm willing to practice 4 hours a day consistently.

Realistically, how long would it take before I'm good enough to confidently close clients in English?

Please answer as if you're an experienced English teacher. At the beginning of your reply, mention your estimated timeline first, then explain why based on real experience—not hype or fake motivation.

How long did it take you to become "client-ready" with n8n?

Not asking how long it took to learn the basics.

I'm curious: how long did it take before you felt confident enough to take on a real client's problem, design the workflow, and actually deliver a working solution?

What was the moment that made you think, "Yeah, I can charge for this now."

When did n8n finally "click" for you?

I'm not asking how long it took to learn the basics.

I'm curious: when did you reach the point where you could take a real-world problem, design the workflow from scratch, and confidently build a working solution?

Was it after a specific project, or did it just come with practice?

Compatibility issues with LangChain sub-nodes on n8n:latest Docker tag, Which version/tag are you using for stable AI workflows?

Hello everyone,

I am currently running n8n via Docker and recently encountered an execution issue after upgrading to the latest image tag. A RAG workflow that previously ran without issues on earlier releases is now failing during execution.

Workflow Breakdown

The workflow implements a standard RAG Knowledge Base (PDF Ingest + Query Retriever) using LangChain integration nodes:

  • Ingestion Pipeline: Webhook ➔ Supabase Vector Store ➔ Recursive Text Splitter ➔ PDF Document Loader(paired with Google Gemini / OpenAI Embeddings).
  • Retrieval & QA Pipeline: Webhook ➔ Request Parser ➔ Retrieval QA ChainVector Store Retriever (Top K)➔ Supabase Vector Store➔ Gemini/OpenAI Chat Model.
  • Error Location: Execution consistently fails at the sub-node level: Error in sub-node 'Vector Store Retriever — Top K'

Questions for the Community

  1. Recommended Stable Docker Tag: Which specific n8n Docker tag/version are you using in production that offers consistent stability with LangChain and AI nodes?
  2. Sub-node Regression: Has anyone encountered similar execution failures with sub-nodes on recent latest builds, and was pinning to a specific release tag sufficient to resolve it?

Any insights or recommended stable tags would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

What are the BEST YouTube channels that genuinely improved your speaking skills?

I'm looking to become a more confident and articulate speaker. Which YouTube channels actually helped you improve your speaking, communication, or conversational skills?

I'm especially looking for channels with practical advice and exercises, not just motivation. Thanks!

Best Discord servers to practice English speaking?

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for active Discord servers where I can practice speaking English.

I'm around B2 level (about 120 on Duolingo) and I want to improve my fluency and pronunciation by talking to people regularly.

I'm interested in AI, programming, technology, entrepreneurship, and football, so communities around those topics would be a bonus.

If you know any good Discord servers with active voice chats, please share the invite links.

Thanks!
