98 k1500 with no AC

I’m not getting voltage to my compressor to engage the clutch. If I jumper 2 wires from the battery to the pins on the connector for the clutch it will engage and spin. I have pulled the compressor and checked the wire as far back until it goes into the main harness and there is no breakage or damage of any sort. Kind of at a loss and was wondering if anyone else has had this issue. It’s 100 degrees here and I would really love to have Ac.

They ain’t the cleanest in the world. But man do I love these trucks!

First one is a 1996 c3500 HD that I got for free from my aunt. The second one is a 1998 k1500 that I bought for $3,500 two years ago. Maybe a little steep of a price but it was worth it for me.

Is a junkyard the only way to get these parking brake levers?

I need these for a 1996 chevy c3500 HD. GM says they are discontinued and I cannot for the life of me find an aftermarket one or a OEM one on any other site. Was hoping there may be a site somebody knows of that may have these parts in stock. The junk yards around me aren't very good and it would be hell to pull those off down in the mud. But if that's the only option there ends up being, so be it.
