Hey just a quick question which I think I already know what I might do, but wanted to get some secondary opinions
There is a 7800X3D available at a shop around me for $234, compared to the 9800X3D's price online of $440. I was planning to upgrade to AM5 soon anyways as I happened to get some DDR5 RAM for basically free, and I was planning on getting a 9800X3D to get a top of the line CPU for future proofing, but this sale has me rethinking
I game on a 34" Ultra wide at 1440p and currently already have a 5800X3D/7900XTX, so I know I won't really see any gains between the 7800X3D and 9800X3D which is why I'm thinking of just pulling the trigger for the savings.
Is pulling the trigger on this sale the right choice you guys think?
Also secondary question the MSI X870-P is on sale for $170 vs the $200 of the MSI B850 Tomahawk Max, any thoughts there?
(Also I have a whole issue with my current MOBO/CPU where I can't run my RAM in XMP or the mobo fries it basically, plus a few other minor case issues. So I want to upgrade anyways beyond just the performance gain of the parts themselves)
