So it seems like once the AT ATs showed up it was clear they were going to lose. most the ground forces from what I recall were all wiped out or captured. But they brought the leadership time to escape with most the pilots. So did they just accept death. If so, that should be a short story about it

I know part 2 to 4 all take place with in a few weeks during what I assume is the early 80s. If tommy killed Jason in say 1983 then would that mean the ones after were all in the near future sense V takes place at least a couple years after. I am sure i saw somewhere that part IIX takes place in the 90s
