VERNE 5 - the first man on the Moon

On July 20, 1969, the Verne 5 mission landed on the Moon, shortly after Major Thomas Bowie exited the LM and uttered his first words on Earth's satellite:

"There is a Latin phrase that reads 'Per aspera ad astra' - Through hardships, to the stars. May these words be a good omen for the future of all mankind."

After these words, he planted the flag of the Earth Union on the lunar surface, profoundly shaping the future of human history.
