Confidante - I can't believe I knew what it was about

Just from listening to the song I had always gotten the strong impression that it was not about a person, but a musical instrument. But that was just a feeling that I got by listening to the song and not based on anything I actually knew. So (maybe) I'm amazed that I googled the meaning just now and found out that it really was about a guitar. It's incredible to me that I actually got the meaning of the song, even though it's never explicitly written out in the lyrics.

I think a lot of young folks might be getting their first taste of the Rolling Stones for the first time through this promotional tie in. I think the song sounds good in the trailer.
