Tips for first-time Minolta zoom 90 Film user

I’m excited to have finally purchased my first film camera— it’s a Minolta Riva Zoom 90 which I got on eBay. I got Kodak gold 200 film for my upcoming trip to Acadia National Park in Maine.

I’m hoping to get some tips on how to best use this camera. I’ve heard that I should take all photos with the flash on… is that true? Also, when taking landscape photos during the day, is there a certain flash setting I should be using? All tips and tricks are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Jordan pond path in October

I'm going to Acadia Oct 16-19th. I plan on doing the Jordan pond path + South bubble one day. Do I need to get there at sunrise to secure parking, or is it more calm in October?
