Community Orchestras that accept strings players?

As the title states, I'm looking to join a community amateur orchestra. I'm an experienced cellist. However any organization I've found in my area (Venlo) and looked at so far only has winds and percussion sections with no strings.

Anybody know of a community group that has a strings section I can check out?

Floored by some prices I saw on CZ jewelry.

Went to a jewelry shop today with my partner and his mother to purchase her a piece of her choice. I got brought along since I know fine jewelry mich more in depth than any of them. Saw some pendant style necklaces that caught her eye for around €300-€400 set in 14k gold that had a white sparkly stone. Family asked what I thought of the pieces, I said of course "depends on what the stone is".

Turns out, it was CZ. Like not even a white topaz, or lab created sapphire, but CZ. I was floored, like at that price point I feel you get better than costume jewelry stones.

Has any body else seen CZ being sold as fine jewelry elsewhere?

If you had the luxury of choosing when to have a weeklong string of migraines, what would you choose?

So I'm one of the lucky ones of the migraine sufferers. I've found a combination of hormone treatment, magnesium supplements, sinus treatment, and extensive detailed trigger avoidance that limits the number of migraines I do get, and typically those I do are easily nipped in the bud by my rescue medication.

A large part of my migraine treatment plan is using birth control in part to skip my menstrual cycle a few months at a time to avoid the dreaded cycle of almost daily back to back migraines that come with it. Migraines that require sleep with my migraine medication in order to snuff them out, disrupting my life and all.

The problem is, my doctor does want me having an occasional break to allow myself a full period, which is agony for me.

So, if you had the opportunity to choose when you had your string of migraines, how would you choose?

So, I'm living in the Netherlands, and it's common for folks to bring an inexpensive gift for peoples birthdays, usually €10 or under. The default thing people do is bring alcohol (I'm 5+ years sober now after being diagnosed with AUD) or flowers (I have a cat that likes to eat flowers, and most arrangements unless specifically built to be cat friendly here are not). I do however go through a lot.of KT tape, which is about €5 a roll.

Now granted, a lot of people just gift cash, which is excellentl, but some get caught up in wanting to gift a physical thing. Would it be wierd to have my partner offer this up as a suggested gift to his family that get caught up on bringing a physical gift?
