Lucchino comment

Yesterday’s episode when guys said if Lucchino was there Mayer would have already been the shortstop resonated with me.

Everything is backwards with this leadership, they overthink everything and make dumb decisions. I’ve written a lot on Red Sox Reddit about how much I hate the Sam Kennedy years but dumb moves like this that add up over time makes me want to pull my hair out, and I’m bald.

Red Sox need an experienced President of the team and CBO. It would change everything

Disastrous Season

While I’d like to see the Red Sox win and take a series and the individual players start to heat up this team and season is a dumpster fire.

It’s mid-May and the best possible outcome is likely keep losing and not being able to score and Breslow gets fired before the trading deadline. If I have one wish for this team it’s Breslow fired and after Sam Kennedy has bungled the hiring of two inexperienced CBO’s they bring in some experience.

This seasons lost, it’s a toss up what next year looks like from a lock out and CBA stand point. Story, Masa and other contracts expire after 2027 year and it will be easier to dump them next season.

The team can’t go into the trade deadline and offseason with Breslow running things. He has no idea what he’s doing on offense and three seasons in has shown he can’t pull off trades or sign free agency offensive players.

I’m the Father of an autistic teenage boy. As such I’m aware that the subject matter is incredibly close to me and therefore I view jokes about autism thru a diffrent POV.

While I don’t get offended per se by jokes about autism, as a comic I get it, if it’s funny it’s funny. I am surprised how often people tell autism jokes. I was at a mic last night and at least 5-10 people had autism jokes.

Even professional comedians on Netflix have a lot of autism jokes. Real question, do you find them funny? Like really funny?

I will continue to watch this dumpster fire of a Red Sox season but, aside from how bad and boring this team has been, I’m honestly grieving over their ‘26 season being likely cashed before May.

I live in Chicago, have MLB.TV and watch alot of other games. Baseball is my favorite sport to watch. Thinking about “adopting” these NL teams so I can keep my interest in MLB up.

NL East - Phillies
Similar season to Red Sox in not meeting expectations. Fired manager, lots of good names in lineup and rotation. Can also watch the Mets for same reasons but I’m adopting Phillies.

NL Central - Brewers
I would root for Cubs and like the Cubs but I have YouTube TV and don’t get their network. Brewers are an hour away and were one the best teams in baseball last season.

NL West - Padres
Have been my favorite NL team as I can listen to Don Orsillo and Xander was one of my favorites. A lot of good names in lineup

Curious how any of you watch other teams and rooting interest.
