Hypothetically speaking… Trevor story signs a 1-year random deal with the Angels or some shit after his career in Boston wraps. He comes back to Boston for a game in an Angels uniform.

He getting a standing o / video tribute thing?

For some reason everyone sounds like they have a lisp the last couple episodes of Section 10 / BID. Just wanted to see if anyone else has noticed, I hope they can get it fixed!

I am assuming they talk about Jake on this episode (haven’t listened yet). If they do, feel free to talk about it in here

For awhile now there’s been a 3 way tie for most career ketchups won at 10. (Devers, Story, and Duran)
Since Duran had a good series I thought I’d just post this because he may soon stand alone with the most. Here’s a little breakdown:

In his career, Duran has won KKSMVP against the Giants, Phillies, Reds, Astros, Guardians, Twins, The Athletics twice, and the Rays twice.

He drizzled once in 2023, 6 times in 2024, and 3 times last season. (He also won the All-star ketchup in 2024 but I’ve always kept that separate from the rest)

Of his 10 mvps 3 of them have come at home and 7 away. Dude just loves drizzling on the road.

I made a tongue-in-cheek post a few weeks ago about the audio issues, not knowing what they were thrown into with Jake bailing on them. Now that that has come to light, just wanted to apologize and say we appreciate you guys and all the work you do to support the 10! (And as a sleep deprived new dad myself, just wanted to congratulate 2K on his little boy. Managing that on top of figuring out production on the fly is some unbelievably heavy lifting!)

Coming into tonight, they were looking up at Ceddanne Rafaela on the OPS leaderboard.

He’s so far produced 33% more bWAR than Soto (1.8 vs 1.2).

Speaking of Soto…for AAV purposes, he will be paid more than the entirety of Ceddanne’s 8 year extension every year for the next 13 years.

For context, that’s as far into the future as the 2013 bearded brother, marathon bombing Red Sox World Series is in the past.

In 1326 career at bats, he’s produced 9.3 WAR.

In this year and the four years prior, Trevor Story posted 8 WAR for the Red Sox, while being paid basically twice the value of Rafaela’s 8 year extension. He also is still owed AFTER this season….the equivalent of Rafaela’s 8 year extension over the next two years.

At a rate of $10M / WAR, he almost produced the entire value of the extension last year alone, and he’s on pace to have a higher WAR this year.

All this includes a dropped fly ball in the sun a week into the year, that tanked his defensive value for a month.

Might have one of the highest trade values in the sport by the end of this year.

I hate that I have to make this post, but it seems like it is necessary. I have spoken with the other Mods, and we have decided to start policing this. It is a private situation that has turned public, if the 10 guys wants to speak on it, that’s their right. But we can’t have the Reddit speculating wildly on something they truly have no idea on. The threads that are up will stay up. But please keep it civil or we will be removing those as well. Any personal attacks on Jake, Jared, or any other members of Section 10 will not be tolerated.

I think that Jared and Jake should hug it out. They should both apologize to one another for their mistakes and now that things are settled, figure out what pay needs to go where. I mean, that would be the mature thing for them to do.

Need to see some series Ws every now and then. Tonight was a nice game Ranger cooked again some offensive production from Jaren it all felt nice. I think it is noticeable the change in offense without Story and if handled properly (it won’t be) they can add a guy or two and turn this around.

Also, Jared wrote a massive essay and nothing he wrote disputes Jake's claim that he went 5 weeks without paying. Feels like Jared is doubling down despite being on the wrong side of things (Also Carrabis I know you are reading this sub you fucking liar)

Great that he’s full time on the ten, and it may be just me, but I wish Tyler would cool it down on the vivid vulgar/sexual imagery when describing baseball. It’s giving teen boy/gamer and is beneath him.

Highlighting Mike Yastrzemski’s effectiveness against the Red Sox can be done without equating it to the dropping of Carl Yastrzemski’s scrotum on the team.

Great to note that Nick Sogard is playing better than Story, but I believe the way he phrased it was he ‘shits all over Story’ which, while effectively highlighting his point, isn’t a pleasant image for the morning commmute

And that was just from the last two episodes alone, it’s a pretty regular thing and doesn’t seem necessary. Maybe I’m just a prude though.
