Persistent uncomfortable pinching / burning feeling in urethra. No pain while peeing

Hi! Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this I’m just looking for somebody to point me in the right direction. For the past couple of days I’ve had a persistent uncomfortable feeling that’s very hard to describe in my urethra. Today has been the worst day yet and now sometimes it feels like I have to pee constantly even though I know I don’t have to. There isn’t any discomfort or pain when I do pee, the color is normal and there isn’t any discharge or anything. There’s no visible symptoms either other than this sensation that’s driving me crazy. Can somebody point me in the right direction here? Has anybody experienced this before? I am sexually active with one longtime partner of 8 years and always wear protection so I don’t think it’s an STD but obviously that’s never fully out of the question. Thank you so much! Any help whatsoever is greatly appreciated!

Books similar to Suttree in terms of character and setting

I looked previously on the sub to see what other people have recommended it seems like the general consensus after Suttree is to move on to James Joyce’s works which I do plan on reading someday!

Right now I’m moreso looking for books similar to Suttree in terms of the southern setting and the characters that would be specific to that region. Thank you so much and let me know what you think!

Croz Boyce is a really special gift

I’m loving this record so much, it really harkens back to the early meditative campfire songs / ark stuff that a lot of us love so much. To still be putting stuff out like this this late in their career is just wonderful, feeling very lucky.

In one scene, Suttree very adamantly refuses to drink from the bottle of a black man and his refusal even goes as far to nearly put him in a hostile situation. There are many many scenes in the book of Suttree being extremely empathetic and kind to other black people in the book, so why does he refuse to drink from the bottle in this one specific scene?

Sorry if it’s something obvious that I’m completely missing out on, but that specific scene always confused me. Thanks for any insight you have!

About 100 pages in and absolutely enthralled by it. Obviously nothing will be 1:1 but I’d love to find a movie that has a similar vibe and atmosphere to it!
