Help Please?

I am SO disappointed, I recently bought the Erborian CC Dull Correct, the Purple one, as I am VERY pale with yellow undertone which can make me look a bit jaundiced/ill, and the purple is supposed to correct the yellow dullness and even out the skintone. Y'all, this stuff turned DARK ORANGE on my face! Not only that, it clung to every little hair, pore and piece of texture on my skin, the consistency reminded me of Maybelline mousse foundation from the year 2000! It's the first time I've ever almost cried over failed make-up as it was so expensive, and people sing Erborian's praises so much that I kind of pinned all my hopes on it being the wonder product I've been hoping and searching for 😭

I'm almost 40, and after losing a LOT of weight in a short amount of time (health issues) I now have too many fine lines due to age/loss of elasticity/loose skin to handle full coverage foundation, so I'm trying BB/CC creams. The problem is, not only do even their palest shades still tend to be too orange (no offense to Rose the Colour Theory Witch, but I don't have the time, money, or the inclination to have to mix blushes and colour correctors just to make a base product match my skin), but no matter what I do, I cannot seem to get any base to melt into my skin, it just sits on top, amplyfying any texture and immediately settles into every tiny line. Putting powder on top makes it even worse. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong, I never used to have this problem. I take care of my skin as well as I can, cleansing and moisturising daily. I've tried a few different primers with no luck. So does anyone know of any lightweight, sheer (but still with some coverage), pale and not orange, base products for mature skin, and how I might go about applying it in such a way that I don't look like I have a cracked plastercast on my face? Or are my make-up wearing days behind me forever? 🥲 Thank you for reading ❤️

Just a warning for anyone doing some online shopping! Like myself you may have seen ads for a company named Coco & Dee, in early April I ordered two bracelets from them at the total cost of £27.20. Two weeks passed with no delivery or update from the company, so I reached out to their customer support, only to be told that the items I ordered were no longer in stock. I asked why I hadn't been made aware of this when I ordered, only to be met with near total indifference. I asked if they could tell me when they items would be back in stock, and they told me they had no fixed timeline for that. So, what, they were just going to keep my money for as long as possible and hope I'd just wait or forget?! I asked for a refund, which they agreed to in full. Two weeks passed with no refund, I reached out to their customer support no less than three times, and each time was met with the short and snarky response "We have processed your refund on our end". Clearly total lies!! I had to do the extra labour of raising a dispute with my bank, and thankfully they were able to get me the full amount refunded. I genuinely believe that this company is just hoping that customers will just give up and go away and let them keep our money for absolutely nothing! I've since found several other terrible reviews from other customers they have ripped off similarly, others who never received items or refunds, and others who received cheaply-made crap that looked nothing like the pictures on their website. I will be more dilligent in future about researching before I order from somewhere new. If you have dealt with this company I suggest you save all email correspondence as your bank will need it in order to process the dispute and get your money back. Good luck out there ladies!
