Need help with deciding insurance

Hi I'm adopting a male 6 year old cat that has pre existing skin allergies (on medication for) and left knee stiffle issue (stable just needs monitoring)

Is insurance worth it and if so I am looking at trupanion and pets plus us (accident and ilnesss).

Was wondering which you would recommend based on the situation?

Thanks!

Edit: also in Canada

Advice on adopting a cat

Currently fostering a 6 year old boy cat and I love him so much he is absolutely calm and matches my behaviour really well.

I want to adopt him and can afford yearly expenses when it comes to litter, food, etc.

What I'm worried about is health expenses. I'm trying to figure out if health insurance is worth it as I am student and it will be very costly for me. At the same time if something happens to him also worried about how I would support the medical costs.

Guess just looking for advice because I know you should prepare for worst case scenarios but how often do they happen and is the cat better off with a different home.
