13th November gig in Bristol

Hi everyone!

I will be going to the show at Bristol Beacon on the 13th November on my own (my lovely fiance will be taking me there and waiting for me, he likes the music but wants me to have some time for me!)

I've never been to a gig alone (I am 30 and have always struggled with anxiety) but considering the community, I am not nervous at all. I know I will be safe around all of you and am excited to meet people who share my views and are as affected by Paris' music as I am.

If anyone is going to this date and wants a new friend while there, I'd love to meet you! I will probably cry 😂 🩷🩷

Food and photographer recommendations for Dorset wedding

Hello! We're having a small wedding next year in Dorset, super laid back and more like a party.

The venue doesnt have much so we dont want a sit down meal, more of a buffet type situation and an ice cream cart for after.

For photographer, we're not sure that a whole day is within our budget. We're looking for a photographer for the ceremony, we're having a handfasting so will be longer than a traditional ceremony. We're thinking we want to book them for two hours.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thank youuuu

On the hunt for a discontinued foundation

Hi everyone 🖤

I am getting married in September 2027 and have been trying to find ANYWHERE that still sells the Elf Flawless Satin Foundation in Beige.

It is the only foundation that I've ever found that matches me perfectly and I was crushed when Elf discontinued it. Its also the perfect satin finish and made me feel beautiful.

I have tried other foundations, including other Elf ones, and they just dont match me at all.

There are some places that have other shades but nowhere has beige left so, as a last ditch effort, I have come here.

Does anybody have this in their collection and would be willing to let me buy it from you? I didnt know it was being discontinued until too late so couldnt stock up on it and I'm so sad that I'm having to find alternatives to wear for my wedding.

I even emailed Elf but they just told me to try Halo Glow. I dont like Halo Glow.

Please could you check your makeup collections?

Thank you!!

Mineral sunscreen recommendations

I would like to try mineral sunscreen as I am consistently breaking out from the chemical ones I have tried but there are so many options I'm not sure where to start.

I've tried-

Garnier Hyaluron Daily UV Invisible

Garnier Super UV Over Makeup Mist

La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVMUNE

Bondi Sands Everyday Lotion SPF

And some others I dont remember.

Thank you!

Self care recommendations

Hi everyone!

I've been on a bit of a stressful health journey recently and want to start setting aside some time for a little self care to make me feel good again.

Does anyone have anything that helps them to relax and feel human? Skincare, tools, whatever.

One thing I would like specific advice on is I have cracked heels and would love to get them soft again. I'm currently just using Nivea Soft and an occasional exfoliate with one of those foot file things. It's working but slowly.

Thank youuuu 🩷🩷

Zoladex Side Effect

Hi guys!

Yesterday I had my second Zoladex implant. It sucks, the side effects suck, but I think it is helping my pain.

However, I SWEAR my boobs are smaller. I'm a bigger girl so smaller boobs on me just looks so wrong and I want them back lmao.

Has anyone had this? Do they come back?

TIA 🩷❤️🖤

Sickness days vs instances

Hi everyone! I just wanted to get some insight on why, typically, sickness is treated as instances rather than days/a more holistic approach.

I've had jobs where I have had time off (disability related) and wanted to try work after a few days off. I go in, I realise I actually cant manage it so I go home. This is then treated as two separate instances of sickness whereas if I had stayed off and not tried, it would be one.

It always rubbed me the wrong way as it feels like being penalised for trying.

I am no longer in this situation but, when I did try to discuss this with my previous employer, they couldn't give me a straight answer.
