Thinking about joining

Hey yall,

I’ve been researching and thinking about joining the Air Force’s reserves. I’m a single mother, and still would like to pursue my education, along with other benefits.

I wanted to know if there were any other single parents or others than joined the reserves and how it’s benefited you. Whether you’re still in it or retired now.

Thanx!

Does anyone enjoy their job?

Hey yall

I was recently accepted into a dental assistant program and I was looking into it, because I have always taken interest in this field & feel as though it would be a good fit for me personally. Now while we don’t know the ins and outs of how an office will be, what is an aspect of dental assisting that you enjoy??

I see a lot of people complain about things, as you will with pretty much any job. And my thing is, it’s not my end goal. I plan to go for dental hygiene and even have an interest in insurance.

But I just want to see what aspects of the job you might enjoy or what are some benefits if any?

Best!

I’m set to inherit $200k

Hey yall,

So I’ve been notified I’m set to inherit a little over $200k. At the moment, I just started school for dental assisting, I have 1 child (just made 4) no debt or student loans, I currently rent and don’t make much as a CNA (I’m considered low income).

I’m wondering what I should go about doing with it, other than open a 529 for my son & a ROTH IRA account?? Maybe a nice vacation? CDs? But not sure what else.

I’m in my early 30s, don’t want to own a home in NorCal CA & only plan on going to dental hygiene school after I complete my prerequisites for it which would put me back a year after completing my RDA program.

Any advice is welcome. Thanx!

Just to add: I filed bankruptcy last year, so I’m clear on debt. No student loans currently & I have a 2022 Honda paid off.
