I posted it before as well saying someone should draw Subaru over the thumbnail. My dumbass forgot I could draw by myself lol

Here are some things I found—

1. If you notice closely, Shiba is drawn to be much larger than Chihiro. This is not only because Chihiro is younger, but also because Shiba is sitting much closer to the "camera". Great use of perspective, Bravo Hokazono.

2. Chihiro had sunlight cast on him. This is to symbolise his innocence about the war. If you look closely, almost everything else around him is shaded, especially Shiba. This is to symbolise the secrets about the war and the eventual dark path of revenge Chinchilla is about to take.

3. There are trees outside the house. You can see them through the window. This is foreskinning for when the Hishaku will eventually kill Kunishige for 50 bucks and a lighter. It also symbolises Akemura commiting mass genocide.

4. Chester says "I've heard that hundreds of times" when Shiba is talking about Kunishige's heroic history. When Shiba says Charizard will grow up to be like Kunishige, he once again says "Heard that hundreds of times too"

Notice how the word "HUNDRED" was repeated 2 times in this conversation? What is 100+100? 200 obviously. How many people did Akemura kill? 200k. Peak foreskinning right there.

I can't believe Tiki Tiki-sensei snuck in so many details in just ONE page. Truly the modern age Shakespeare.

I really hope it isn't the latter because that may mean Hokazono is simplifying his artstyle to finish chapters before deadlines. If this is true, it won't take long before he burns out as well. I really wish nothing like this happens and hope the best for him♥️
