Noise ordinance question for residents

Hi there! I'm from LA and adore Palm Springs. I was considering buying property to live there as a second home, but I'm aware of the very strict noise ordinance. I understand and respect that it helps to keep people from out-of-town partying in residential neighborhoods. But I can't wrap my head around "no music or sound of any kind outside" for those who live there.

Are there really no residents who occasionally have, say, an outdoor gathering with some light, ambient music? I don't mean blasting party music, just maybe some Sinatra, or jazz at a reasonable level during a reasonable time?
Or perhaps even playing a record indoors at a normal volume but the windows are open?

I absolutely respect the desire for peace and quiet, and love the serenity of Palm Springs (outside of downtown, lol) but some of these things seem impossible for every resident to adhere to, all of the time, so I was curious to hear from residents what it's like for you to live there. I can't imagine every single person who lives in Palm Springs never wants to have occasional music playing at some point that *might* be able to be heard outside during normal hours. Do you find that nobody truly ever makes any noise? Or is there an understanding of reasonable, occasional sound that anyone would hear from a neighbor from time to time? Again, I'm NOT referring to crazy partying, booming bass, etc. Thank you!

I love seeing various actors show up as guest stars. Who was one of your favorites? I love seeing Roddy McDowall!! He's so hilarious, such a good actor, and just perfect for the show.

Cute outfit, cute Seth! S5E3

Love her pose (classic), her outfit, Seth's smirk, and all the decor around them, especially the Victorian wall. I feel like this captures so much about them and the show! 😊

Hilton Inn 1967

I'm watching a Jerry Lewis movie (The Big Mouth) and a lot of it takes place at the "Hilton Inn" with some awesome tiki/Polynesian vibes!!! Anyone know about this hotel?

It was (is?) in San Diego. If it still exists, I sadly doubt it still looks like this! But one can dream!

James Duval from the 90's

DROP DEAD GORGEOUS! Still gorgeous, I think, with a lovely smile. But I'm focusing on that pouty, little-boy-lost face for this one :)

Disneyland Hotel postcard - 1980's

Just wanted to share a beloved postcard I have from "back in the day" (the 80's). I remember the Disneyland hotel like this. The lagoon, the paddle boats, the waterfall and water show in the back... Anyone else? :) What a place.
