We purchased a “beautifully renovated” home that is one issue after another. We’ve been trying to clean out clogged sink overflow drains and this one isn’t cooperating. We’d like to remove this drain cover grate thing, but there’s no clear way to take it off. I’ve tried sticking something into the grate to try to gain purchase in case it’s screwed in—no luck. I’ve tried prying it up—no luck.

Is anyone familiar with this style of drain cover? I’d like to get it out without destroying or damaging the sink.
