I don’t really mind the remaster but ngl it really does butcher some of the original jokes

For the “I WILL DESTROY YOU!!!!”, it’s too casual now, it’s missing the demonic voice effect

And for the “I’LL NEVER FALL…”, again, it’s missing the sudden deep voice for Taco, I don’t get why they decided to keep her original voice, now it just makes the line sound lame af

I’d talk about Evil Paper too but eh, I don’t feel like it

To be clear I don’t hate the remaster, I think it’s a really neat idea and I do overall like it (hell, I think episode 9 is fantastic), but man the original delivery of these lines was hilarious and now they’re just so bland

TPOT 23 Review

POSITIVES:
I really liked the whole plot line with Announcer and Balloony, it was just a lotta fun, although I am curious on what the whole deal with them entering the rift is

The animation in this episode was amazing, I don’t think it’s better than BFDIA’s animation but man, it’s close

The “Black Hole” song was funny asl and the “Homeward Bound” one was pretty good too, and I enjoyed all of the little art for it

Speaking of Black Hole, FINALLY we got to see him again, I really wanna see what they have in store for him

I’m glad TB actually did something this episode, while minor, at least he isn’t a glorified cardboard cutout like in earlier TPOT episodes

I like the idea of one being able to shapeshift

We got more Roboty content, yay

I’m really interested in the whole timeline stuff with Pencil, I’m excited to see more of it next episode

NEGATIVES:
The whole ordeal with the eliminated contestants was pretty confusing, they immediately split them into multiple groups that really had no distinct aspects, and constantly swapping between them was pretty jarring

ONE’S A FUCKING FRAUD BRO! Mf got soloed by Winner, X, Liy and Bubble of all characters (Yeah, I know the episode stated that she didn’t want a repeat of the 3 situation, but that’s still not really valid reasoning, this mf blew up a planet with one laser, in what world is she losing?) also why tf were half of her lines “FINE!”?

I’d complain about the elimination but tbf that’s not really JnJ’s fault

I didn’t really understand the whole thing for 3, like, why is she mad at 6? 6 didn’t do nothing to her, and I get that it’s to show how she doesn’t trust anyone anymore because of what 1 did to her, but idk, feels kinda odd

I didn’t really care for the negative numbers or really any of the algebralien planet stuff

Overall, I have some mixed feelings towards this episode, I think I prefer TPOT 22, I’ll give this episode a solid 7/10

I honestly wonder if there’s anyone who doesn’t like Michael’s style

Most of the community (including me) agrees that Michael has one of the best styles in the osc and I’ve never seen anyone who dislikes it

Say something nice about your least favorite character

The concept of Profily is actually really cool, the idea that there was a hidden contestant this whole time in the show is honestly something I wanna see expanded on despite my hatred for them
