Hello, as you know me now I’m Eve. I’ve been a pretty active contributor to this community for 2 years now, and recently I was given the opportunity to make art for the sub due to my role in the event council. But as you can see by the fact that only now is the banner/pfp up despite it being meant to be up a month ago. I kinda suck at my job.

BUT WAIT

I uh

Have a few reasons.

The biggest one is that I have a job. And between the time I volunteered to make it and the time the project actually started. Something shifted in my schedule. My work started only booking me on the weekends. As you can imagine this changed a lot for me. Now my weekends I had more time awake at my workplace than my own house. And being scheduled so early in the morning drained my energy so quickly it began getting hard to walk after my shifts. And of course every other day I had school. So not a single day I had off to just sit down and work on the banner

The second reason is the lack of motivation. When I first began drawing it was scary but fun. But slowly as the days ticked by and I drew a few characters I realized I had already spent 6 hours on the drawing only to have drawn like 5 of the characters. It honestly felt heartbreaking knowing how much of the banner was left for me to do. Like a daunting task constantly being forced onto you even though you have no time to do it.

And the third

I’m a stubborn person. I wanted to do all the characters myself simply because I could only trust myself, it scary to think what others could do with my work, so I never ended up passing the work around to someone else until very recently.

And I KNOW it’s stupid. I know spam would have been ok with me asking him for help. And I feel so bad for making everyone wait so long.

And for that reason I will say we have more to change and make better next season when the banner contest comes ‘round. To hopefully be able to push this banner out far faster.
