All bosses I have made so far in tankeditor.io
I have already made posts about the Quadral and Cöordinator before (which are the Square and Crasher boss respectively), so I won't really be covering those in this post. But I have increased the recoil on the Cöordinator's trap so that it has more semblance with the Dasher from Havre, which was originally inspired by it. The inspo cycle goes a long way...
The Cytogen is the Egg boss, and uses a swarm of weak Egg drones (72 to be exact) as well as some Mech Pillbox dispensers, and a Sprayer Auto-Turret for extra offense. Although it is similar to the Egg Queen from Woomy, I did not take all too much inspiration from it, apart from the unique body structure of the underlying hexagon bëing it's actual body, which applies to it too.
The Anti-Defender is the Triangle boss, and as you can infer from its name, is rather heavily inspired by the Defender; the OG Triangle boss from Diep. I intended it to be an inverse of the Defender's design, so instead of Auto-Turrets and Trap dispensers, it has,.. side-mounted Auto-Turrets and Trap dispensers... (how the fuck did I mess this up :sods:) Well, at least the scale of the weapons differs, with the bullets bëing the bigger of the 2 instead of the traps, and also the ammunition isn't yellow for no sensible reason, so that's a plus.
The Wraith is the Pentagon boss, and it features 10 slow drones which deal a lot of damage. (For a normal-build tank I presume it would take only 2-3 drones to take it out.) The reason why they don't deal so much damage in the video is because I increased the stat modifier of the Super Factory's Body Damage so I wouldn't die too often when fighting off the bosses. It also has 5 Auto-Turrets of Tier 3 weapons mounted on top of it, which are a Rifle, Shotgun, Destroyer, Triple Shot, and Blip Gun. (For those who are wondering what I mean by a Blip Gun, I'm talking about the front 2 barrels of the Peashooter in Arms Race.) Like almost all tank bosses, I took inspiration from the Nest Keeper and Leviathan for it.
What one do you like the most?
