I’m building PiPortal, a Raspberry Pi project that aims to recreate a PlayStation Portal-like handheld experience.

Focus is on:

• Fast boot into a console-style interface
• Remote Play (Chiaki)
• Emulation (RetroArch / EmulationStation / Pegasus)
• Lightweight, gaming-focused Linux setup

I’m mainly looking for advice on:

• Best frontend for a simple console UI
• Performance optimization on Raspberry Pi
• Similar existing projects
