Pucks Glen Forest Scotland

This year I've made it a goal to paint more sketchbook pages and to use my gouache more.

This is one of my favorite paintings in my little Etchr sketchbook. I took a holiday in Scotland in Jan/Feb and was determined to do some painting whilst there.

Thought I'd show it and introduce myself. I'm currently trying to do a mini gouache painting a day (I've been recording it for reel content on instagram) but I'm also a freelance comic artist and my current gig is very time demanding, so I didn't get to paint today.

I love gouache for it's quick drying time and matt finish, very useful for quick paintings.

Porthcurno Beach Soft Pastel Practise

Another practise, this time bigger than my previous ones. I'm getting more familiar with chunky soft pastels, but I still have a lot of practising to do.

The photo was taken at Porthcurno beach in Cornwall, UK, right near the Minack Theatre. My best holidays are in Cornwall (and Devon, the neighbouring county). I get so inspired there.

Jackson's soft pastels, Unison Colour soft pastels, and some Lightwish soft pastels on dark pastelmat.

Apologies for what seems like a clearly edited photo, my camera seems to blow out the lighting on this dark pastelmat and changes everything, I've tried to edit it to the best of the real thing.

Anyway, this little stem dropped off my main plant and I thought I'd try out these pastel pencils again on pastel mat. I love them. They are awesome.

I bought a very battered pre-owned set of 60 for a very, very good price, so I'm selling my set of 36. I don't know if this is frowned upon, but I wanted to ask if anyone is interested, I'll put a comment with more info so it can be deleted if need be.
