I’m a CS major. Because deadlines don’t always line up, I could be in a situation where I have to accept an offer first while waiting on how my other interviews play out. What are the ramifications of reneging an offer I got through career services?
What happens if you renege on an internship you get through career services or career fair? I’d rather not be in this situation. But due to deadlines not matching up, I might have to take the first decent offer I get as backup.
So due to family issues that came up, I’m transferring universities to save money and be closer to home.
My previous university is T30 for CS. Even the “dumbest” kid in class had a 30 or 31 on the ACT. My new university is T120-T100 for CS.
The new university has lower admission standards. Will the classes at the new university be less challenging? I’m not lazy. I just want time to deal with family issues and prepare for the job market while being able to finish school as fast as possible.

I’m transferring to KU from another university. I hope I can finish in 4 semesters. But for that to happen, there must be 2 semesters where I’ll be taking 5 EECS courses. Is this workload doable?
I’m not lazy. I’m transferring to KU from another college and due to how credits transfer over, I’m finishing 2 or 3 semesters later than originally planned. I’m trying to finish in 4 semesters instead of 5.
Okay, I already know a good amount of people at KU. But the thing is, I’m transferring from another college. Due to how transferring credits work, I will finish college 2 or 3 semesters later than originally planned. Most of the people I know would graduate before me. Would being a little older make it hard to meet new people?
I might also be biased from my experience at my old college. My previous college is a “commuter school” where many people commute. Even a lot of people who live on campus go home on the weekends. There was no “college town” either.
The deadline for guaranteed housing is this Friday. If I can’t get admitted to KU by then, then I may have to settle for Jayhawker Towers. How are those apartments?
Why didn’t I just apply to KU earlier? Well, I’m transferring to KU. Was having a good time at another college. But some unexpected family and personal issues came up, so I decided to transfer to KU.
I applied two weeks ago and still haven’t been admitted yet, despite having a profile that’s way above KU’s admission standards. However, the deadline for guaranteed housing is May 1st. Will I be able to get on-campus housing if I don’t get admitted by then?
