Love seeing Heathers being mentioned in places outside of the fandom or musical places

It’s like seeing a dog walk on its hind legs

I'm sorry

I recently made a post about a horrible fancast poster I found on Pinterest and I wanted to share it with you guys. The problem is that the poster was made with AI and I completely forgot that's against the sub's rules. Not only that, I'm also a mod here, so, yeah. I did end up deleting that post, but I still felt bad about it. So, as a way to apologize, I recreated the poster with ZERO AI input. Again, I am sorry for my mistake and I promise it will never happen again.

This has to be one of the worst castings I’ve ever seen

Might as well put Tom Holland and Timothée Chalamet as Kurt and Ram, The Rock as Big Bud Dean, and Zendaya as Martha

Something I Noticed When Watching The Film

I was rewatching the film earlier today when I noticed something. I rarely paid attention to the score of the movie, but I noticed that almost (big emphasis on almost) every time JD appears on screen (for example when he first appears in the cafeteria or when he rides off on his motorcycle after Chandler’s funeral) there’s a distinct western shrill that plays on the score (if you don’t know what a western shrill is, listen to the main theme of “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly” and you’ll know what I’m talking about). Now, it’s evident that JD has that outlaw, lone-gunslinger aesthetic going on, and this shrill that plays when he’s on screen most of the time really drives this point forward. It’s truly such an interesting detail and it makes me wonder what other little easter eggs are hidden in the score. Anyway, I just needed to yap about this because I thought it was so interesting.

Can Someone Please Explain? (Image unrelated)

I have been a Heathers fan for a while now, and since then, I still have no fucking clue how to play croquet. Can someone please explain how the game works because every time I search online how to play it, I end up with more questions than answers.

Announcement: Regarding the Musical on this subreddit

This is just a friendly reminder that this subreddit is not and will not be a place for hating on Heathers: The Musical. We moderators understand that the Musical did some changes to the story that not everyone agrees with, and that’s completely understandable. But there is a clear distinction between not liking something and actively hating. We have seen a couple of posts recently that teeter on the side of hating and that is not acceptable in this subreddit. And this doesn’t apply to solely the Musical. This is a subreddit to share our love of Heathers, regardless of what version it is. And we will still allow for posts that offer constructive criticism to continue. But rants about how much you don’t like what the Musical or the Paramount TV or whatever did to the story will not be tolerated. Thank you.

Musical Veronica and JD

Now, I understand that many people don’t like some of the changes the musical did to the story. And I know that the portrayal of Veronica and JD are one of the huge talking points. What I would like to know is why? If you do not like how Veronica and JD are portrayed in the musical, regardless of if it’s the original off-broadway or west end/newer script, could you please explain as to why you don’t like it? I’m curious to hear other people’s opinion.

And by the way, please, please, please keep the conversation civil amongst each other. So, if you don’t agree with someone else’s opinion, just ignore them and move on with your life. Thank you.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers in Heathers

You’d be surprised at how many appear in the movie, although most are not confirmed are merely speculation.

Title: Teacher of the Year

Format: Feature

Page Length: 100 pages

Draft Status: 2nd Draft

Genre(s): Drama

Logline: A stoic high school teacher in 2005 battles with the haunting trauma of his past while navigating his role as a mentor to his students who are facing their own challenges.

About three months ago, I made a post asking for feedback for this screenplay, which is a screenplay I wrote last year for my script writing minor final assignment. Since then, I’ve rewrote the story, using some of the feedback I got from that initial post. It originally had 130 pages, but I managed to shorten it down to 100 pages. I would like to know any form of feedback or criticisms as I feel that would greatly help me improve as an amateur scriptwriter. Thank you.
