I had somehow gaslit myself into believing that Rise was a horrible game
5 years ago I had gaslit myself into believing that Rise was a horrible and boring game for some reason, probably World nostalgia, that was likely one of my most idiotic decisions because I finally gave it a chance and the game is super fun.
The change from a medieval style setting to a feudal era Japan caught me off guard but is very nice once you get used to it. The characters are fun and finally have names instead of just "Admiral, commander, handler"! The new monsters, I started playing on World so anything is a new monster to be honest, are awesome in design and the armor and weapons still look majestic. The new wirebug thingy took a while to get used to but it facilitates moving around so much that I can't even remember what it was like before.
All in all this is a post to remind people not to be ignorant and close minded, if you let go of your bias and embrace a new experience you may just find something extremely enjoyable like I did.
