We've been building an app for hiring local students for help

Hey everyone,

Me and my friend are both UNB students. We've been building this over the past couple of months and we're close to launching.

It's an app where you book verified local students for small jobs. Lawn mowing, snow shovelling, tutoring, dog walking, moving help, tech help. You see their rate, program and reviews, pick a time, book.

Everyone's verified. Students verify their phone, school email and legal ID through Stripe. Hirers verify their ID too before they can book anyone.a

Nobody touches cash. Your card gets a hold but isn't charged until the student accepts. Money's held until the job's done, then released. No e-transfer needed.

Would love to hear your thoughts, good or bad.

Little Italy -> Uottawa commute

Hey everyone,

I'm considering moving into Znith for September. I really like the place itself, but I'm a bit concerned about the 25–30 minute commute to uOttawa. Is that manageable day-to-day? Would you recommend it?

Looking for roommate

Hey everyone! I'm an incoming uOttawa student looking for a roommate to find a 2-bedroom apartment together for Fall 2026. Thinking 169 or 171 Lees Ave or somewhere close to campus.

I’m chill, clean, and tidy. I'm aiming for around 1000 dollars monthly each for rent.

Feel free to shoot me a DM.
