Does anyone know anything about this CD?

Does anyone know anything about this CD?

Hi there, I originally posted this on r/newzealand and r/chch, but I thought I'd ask over here too. (I'll just copy and paste my previous posts)

For some context, I live in the UK and a couple days ago while I was out I starting digging through an old box of CDs that was outside a record shop and I came across something called Mitsuki and the Headless Seahorses, dated circa 2005, recorded at Little River, New Zealand.

It looked really cool, the artwork on it is quite nice. It looks like it was the project of a band that never really went anywhere so I brought it home to investigate it further. I didn't know it at the time but almost all of the songs on it are covers of old folk reels or waltzes, all very short. All of the music on the CD combined barely lasts over 8 minutes.

But I'm more interested in exactly who made it. The liner notes credit four people: Peter, Emily, Rowan and Jonty. None of their last names are written out, but what was written was the studio that it was recorded at: Kahikatea Studios. Googling that however points to a Music Therapy/Charity group that as far as I can tell was founded in 2018. Given that the album was supposedly recorded in 2005, that makes me think the two might not be related. I did email the charity yesterday asking if they knew about it or knew anyone who would be able to help, as of right now I haven't heard back (and honestly, I doubt they will message me back. If anything, why should they help a stranger from a completely different country out on something that doesn't really matter?)

So all I'm asking is if anyone out there knows anything about this CD, if they know one of the people who worked on it. I'd love to know why this thing was made and more importantly, how on earth did it get from New Zealand all the way to the UK?
