Hello dai/didi haru who are currently in the US on graduate assistantships.
I am currently pursuing my Master's in Structural Engineering at Pulchowk Campus. My initial plan was to pursue my Master's abroad, but due to funding constraints and the uncertainty of securing an assistantship, I decided to join Pulchowk as a backup while continuing my efforts.
My plan is to actively apply for graduate assistantships for Spring 2027 (and Fall 2027 if needed). If I am unable to secure funding by then, I will complete my Master's here and later apply for a PhD with funding.
I have one question regarding contacting professors:
Should I mention in my emails that I am currently pursuing a Master's at Pulchowk Campus, or is it better not to mention it?
I'm unsure whether professors might view it negatively (thinking I'm already enrolled elsewhere) or positively (since I would already have completed some graduate-level coursework and gained additional research experience before joining).
I would really appreciate hearing from those who have gone through this process or have experience with graduate admissions and assistantships. Thank you!

Please own up to your mistakes instead of hiding behind others just to protect your image. If you cannot handle the responsibility, then resign and let Rabi Lamichhane lead the nation.
I genuinely believe you could become the very reason this entire protest goes in vain. The sacrifices made by our brothers were meant to push this nation toward reform, yet your actions seem to be obstructing that very purpose.
And for once, surround yourself with intelligent and honest people instead of admins of dumb troll pages and shameless bootlickers who tell you only what you want to hear. History has repeatedly shown what happens when leaders isolate themselves inside an echo chamber of sycophants. You should know better.
