Cabled Fingerless Glove From Handspun

I recently finished the first of a pair of fingerless gloves from a two-tone corriedale that I blended on my diy blending board. I wet-set and thwacked my yarn for the first time. It’s harder to do it when your bathroom sink wont hold water! The yarn itself is in two cakes of two ply, one being 196 yards and 71 grams and the second 474 yards and 149 grams. It’s by far the most yarn I have ever spun! At least it gave me a good excuse to purchase a ball winder and swift! I’ve been wanting them forever. The glove is only the second time I have ever knit cables, and the first time I have knit them in the round. I am very proud of it! Before I knit the second one, I have to finish the second of a pair of socks for my mom. I had never completed a sock before the first one. I hope that when I’m better at socks, I can make some out of some of my handspun. My mom might just end up stealing the gloves when they are done for her cold hands! I‘m currently spinning some green BFL and it’s going like a dream! I hope everyone had a safe and happy weekend!

The partial outfit I’m working on for my Smartdoll, Imogen.

I made it off of the ‘Ray Of Moonlight’ pattern by Luminaria Designs on Etsy. I had some trouble with it as I’m more use to hand sewing, and I was using my new sewing machine. Also, I think the author assumes that her customer is more experienced at deciphering clothing pattern than I am. I had some setbacks with my machine and some issues with the what I think was errors in the amounts of pieces required for the overdress. I’m rather neurospicey, so it was very distressing to realize that I need to cut out a bunch more pieces. (I don’t enjoy cutting out fabric pieces AT ALL.)So now the rest of the project is sitting in a box so it can sit and think about what it’s done! I don’t have any shoes that would work with the outfit currently, so I’m probably going to make something. I don’t think I’d recommend the pattern to a newbie, but I think someone experienced could make something great! Here is the LINK!

I found the perfect boxes to store my extra Smartdoll hands!

I realized after the fact that it made a joke! Who gets it?! The set comes with two, but the little one was too small for it, so I am using it for other stuff. I bought them on Amazon, and it looked like they had a bunch of other sets.

Some necklaces for my Smartdoll that I have made over the last couple days.

I used to make jewelry for humans when I was a teenager, so I had a butt-load of supplies. I finally made some for my Imogen.

Does anyone know of a cover that will fit an Odyssey A5 68 gsm tomoe river notebook with 496 pages? None of the covers I own fit it and I am not finding anything online that fits it. It really does need one as the softcover is quite flimsy. I need one that is under $100, preferably under $50, ideally available on Amazon, but If it is from Etsy, it needs to be handmade, and shipped from the US. (If I must have a mass produced one, I would rather get it on Amazon.) I’m open to it being made from anything but PU Leather (I’ve had things made from it disintegrate. All it is is plastic, anyway.) Any assistance you can offer would be much appreciated!
