Cinderella

Lots of futzing to bring Cinderella to life. Of course within the futzing for the skirt, I end up accidentally shortening the skirt an 1” and now it’s ankle length 🫠

New dress for Skipper

Simplicity pattern and mod fabric came together in a new outfit. I don’t have a lot of outfits for her, but I’m working on a collection.

Converting Vintage Pattern to Curvy

Does anyone have tips for adjusting a vintage pattern to fit modern curvy Barbies? Or can recommend resources that show how to do this? Thanks!

New one piece top pattern

I’ve been lazy enough to try and make a shirt pattern with all the darts on one pattern piece. Pattern included. Also another 5 pocket jeans with belt loops… work of chance haha. So tiny, and I sew every waistband backwards sigh…

Hello kitty dress for I love Hello Kitty Licca-Chan

I made this dress last year using a small piece of Hello Kitty fabric from Liberty Japan and it really coordinates well with the hair color of the I love Hello Kitty doll and accessories. (the bird cage is Re-ment and the book is where the dress pattern is from).

Lovely in Lavender! I made a vintage style dress for regular Barbie!

I love this girls purple eyes, so I thought I’d go with it and make her a purple floral dress to match! I’ve also been gradually altering my vintage Barbie patterns to fit modern Barbie - this is Simplicity 4510, although I more or less ended up drafting it from scratch in the end. But I’m pleased I’ve got one more dress pattern that fits in my collection now!

I only sewed the kimono for this outfit, but the fabric is the reason for the post. It’s a sari scrap that I got from cutting apart a $5 chindi rug from 5 Below. I got dozens of perfect doll sized scraps of gorgeous sari fabric from one rug and it’s a super affordable way to source fabric.
