hey there! can you help me identify this doll? he's 1:6 scale and appears to be a male, light-skin black doll with a printed on beard and a tiger tattoo on his right biceps. I feel like he might be an Integrity Toys doll, or one of the brands inspired by them. what do you think? cheers and thank you! 😙

I'm looking for an articulated body (MTM or otherwise) for Fashionistas #235 (1st picture). I'm thinking Looks #17 or BMR1959 Neon Overalls could be a match. Can someone confirm this? or do you have other suggestions? ty!

also, let's not lose perspective here... €70 for a barbie doll is still a lot of money, in my opinion. but given that this is one of my grails, and given what kind of prices he usually goes for... I'm very happy ☺️

low-key feeling guilty because I'm an out-of-box collector and this could potentially make an in-box collector very happy. I would have been happy with just the doll, I don't even need the clothes, let alone the box. oh well.

kinda want to give him a beard. but I will practice on many, many other ken's until I'm 1000% confident before attempting any modification on this one. he's so precious 😊

I was going through my parents attic today, mostly sorting out childhood toys, deciding what to keep, what to sell, and what to toss. Found many nostalgic childhood treasures, including my one and only Polly Pocket. A little surprised to find it in such good condition, it even still has both figurines! it's so lovely. I'm taking this home and displaying it amongst my plants 🥰

Bought my 1st Barbie as an adult 2 months ago. Did I go a little crazy with my Barbie spending between then and now? Why yes, yes I did 😭 but it's ok, it's still within what's reasonable-ish for my budget. And most of this is thrifted, which also makes me feel better. Now it's time to slow down a bit though 😅 eventually I'd like to have a collection of 10-25 dolls.

obviously there's still a lot to do. Don't have stands yet, and don't have a dedicated display space. I don't have a lot of clothes yet either, so there's room for improvement re my styling. and most of my dolls don't have articulation yet. But there's no rush, and I'm so happy with my little collection so far!

I also splurged on a He-Man Ken 😱 I will unbox him eventually and have him join the crew. But for now he remains boxed, for delayed gratification reasons.

one tip I already have for other beginners, get a metal comb! I bought a very cheap metal comb and it works so much better than plastic combs, totally worth it.

I thrifted this faux fur coat and I'm thinking about dyeing it pastel pink. How would you go about it? I know most fabric dye doesn't work on synthetics... 🤔 and I'm scared acrylic paint would make the fibers clump together. is there a kind of paint that would work? maybe permanent marker?

So, there's this site, which appears to be the official (?) Xian Xian store for dolls and clothes.

But I also see Xian Xian products on Ali Express, and at least one YouTuber has talked about XX and AE as if they were the same thing.

So, what's the deal here? Are Xian Xian and Ali Express the same company? Or is AE a platform and XX sell through them, as welll as through their own store? Or are the XX products on AE fake? Do I get better quality if I order through the official XX store rather than through AE, or is it exactly the same?

I had a few Barbies as a child but I was always low-key embarassed about it because I'm a guy. I'm in my early 40es now and I bought myself two Barbie dolls. Because why not? They're just two basic playline dolls. But I love their faces, I think they're really beautiful! Next I'll be getting them some stands and better outfits. Cheers!
