These are reproductions of two tarots made in Milan by Edoardo Dotti in the 1860s. The pattern is similar to other 19^(th)-century Italian decks such as Lo Scarabeo’s Ancient Italian Tarot. The most noticeable differences between this design and the Tarot de Marseilles are trumps I and XIX. The figure on I appears to be a cobbler, not the thimblerigger on the Marseille card, and the figures on XIX are fully clothed.
The upper row in each picture is from the 1865 deck published in facsimile by Deviant Moon this month as the Lombardy Tarot. The lower row is from the 1862 deck, restored and published by Rinascimento Italian Art as the Milanese Tarot. The 1865 deck was printed from woodcuts previously used by Dotti’s father. The 1862 deck was printed from engraved copper plates, and thus has much finer detailing.
These are small decks. The Lombardy Tarot is 2.18" x 4.2", the Milanese is slightly smaller. The cardstock on the Lombardy is semi-gloss and smooth enough to fan. The matte finish on the Milanese is a little stickier but smooth enough to shuffle and deal easily. It's also a rather thick deck, at 1.4".
A few years ago I picked up this deck. I don’t know much about it other than its Solara Occulto Tarot. It was the store’s display copy but it’s in excellent condition. The color scheme reminds me of a long late summer. Very surreal and dreamy.
Based on the box, I'm 99% sure this is a counterfeit deck (on FB Marketplace). Can anyone confirm?

Hi all. I am very casually doing a decan walk this year (a decan meandering as I've heard it called). I am swapping out decks each season as a part of it and to give some love to decks I rarely reach for.
For example, for Taurus season I have been doing my daily pulls from Oak, Ash, Thorn as I find it very earthy and has a luxe feel to it. I have the Lubanko earmarked for Scorpio season, etc.
For Gemini season (starting May 20th at 8p CT), I'm putting the Unveiled Tarot in my daily bag. It has a very two-sided/dig deeper aspect to it. I feel like my perspective on Gemini might be short sighted, given that the minor arcana its associated with is pretty dark (the tail end of the swords suit). But I don't think I have a deck in my collection that fits it better.
Anybody else use their decks for certain astrological seasons? Any recommendations for Gemini-esque decks?
It's been a while since I've posted anything, and that's at least partly because I've been busy writing my latest book, Tarot Convergence: Unveiling the Tarot of the Future.
The book is 100% self-published and written without the help of AI.
Long story short, I discovered a way to make a complete, 78-card Tarot deck using only playing cards, only by using the reversible Aces and pips (including the Jokers, which are reversible, too), as they are depicted in conventional, casino-standard playing cards. I call this system the Latent Tarot.
I personally use my dedicated KEM Tarot decks for this purpose, which I may have posted here in the past.
While I do write this primarily from a cartomancer's perspective--for lack of a better term--I do feel the implications of my discovery make for an interesting proposition for card games and card players alike, as this "expanded" deck feels more like a Rubik's Cube than anything else I can describe, and it feels like it has enormous potential for wildly elaborate solitaires and other games that could come out of it. In fact, I even describe ways to use games like poker and blackjack for "divinatory" purposes, which is something I also did in my last book, The Hand of Fate.
Example Blackjack spread using the Latent Tarot+corresponding conventional Tarot cards
In a way, the system is still incomplete, or rather, I've only just scratched the surface of what I think is possible with this deck, but I do feel it provides a solid foundation for understanding and building on it. I also spend quite a bit of time speculating about what I think could be the philosophical implications of my discovery, so just FYI it goes into pretty woo-woo territory lol.
Nonetheless, I do think there's something for everyone here. More than anything, I just think it expands your brain, and broadens our horizon in the way we look at the cards, regardless if you're a Tarot practitioner or a playing card aficionado.
The book is published via IngramSpark, so it should be available internationally through all major retailers like amazon, Barnes & Noble and what have you, but the distribution hasn't quite picked up yet. In the meantime, the pdf version can be purchased directly on my itch.io page, as well. The pdf has coloured illustrations while the paperback is black & white; although I have to say, the test prints all came out very crisp, and the art is very legible as well.
If you read this in the future and happen to already have the print version, feel free to send me a PM or something and I can send you the pdf, as well.
Hope you enjoy and I'm looking forward to any feedback or questions you may have.
Hello! Been looking to spread my wings further into Oracle Decks, but havent found any that really visually vibe with me. I think I might like something close to the Rider-Waite style, since thats what I mainly use for tarot readings. Much appreciated!
Definitely one of my most beautiful decks
I love bright and colorful tarot decks i also want to start collecting vintages any tips?

The ethereal vision tarot Luna edition is the one that calls my bullshit out the most and tells me what it is without holding back. I'm curious what other peoples decks personalities are and how honest they are to you.
Strength is one of the cards I tend to look out for and spend special attention to in every new deck.
My personal favorites are (in no particular order): woodland wardens, honey & lavender, the shadows we cast, lunalapin, yukika, botan

Found this card in my Alleyman’s Tarot and quite like it. Haven’t been able to identify which deck it belongs to.

Hi everyone.
I have some money from my birthday and would like to buy a new RWS deck. I’m pretty set on Conrad Steyn’s 1909 Roses & Lilies from MPC, but I’m torn on which version to get.
Ideally, I would really like the boxed version. I’m not particularly a fan of having cards loose in a bag, or even kept loose in a wooden box for example. The magnetic book box that’s available with the R&L deck looks great.
The only thing giving me pause is the card stock. The boxed version comes with the regular cards (S30 standard smooth) and I’ve heard a few people say they’re unimpressed with how thin and flimsy they are. I’m in the UK so this deck is quite pricey once shipping is factored in, and I really don’t want to end up disappointed in the quality! The deck is also available in the thicker card stock (A35 Thick Standard), which appeals to me more, BUT this version is just shrink-wrapped, no box.
I’m honestly torn. Does anyone have experience with this deck in either of these card stock options? I would love to hear your thoughts to help me make my decision!
Thanks 🙏
Kickstarter for the Hidden Light Tarot, 10th anniversary edition is live! I’ll put the l¡nk in comments. Thank you all for your support! 💫
It’s finally here! I was one of the first 200 backers for Uusi’s Lux deck in late 2023 (I’ve otherwise only ever contributed to a Kickstarter after it’s been funded) and it’s been quite the journey. Here are pictures!
i really love the colors and spiritual imagery
i tried to post this earlier with a link to the deck, but it got removed. i really love the colors and overall vibe of it. it just feels so peaceful, and i'd love something with a similar feel for daily tarot pulls!
Hey Tarot Deck community! Some of you may remember me for my Art Nouveau/Art Deco/Cyberpunk Tarot Deck I have been working on for a few years now.
I have periodically shared progress with this community, and this community has always given me excellent feedback. For the past couple months I have been really thinking over u/Coppernord 's advice a year ago to reduce the framing and text elements, and u/Previous_Audience921 's advice a few months ago to lean a bit more into the Art Deco side of things. I went back to the drawing board and developed an entirely new frame to accompany the art based on these notes. I feel the update makes the cards a ton better and just wanted to share my excitement since this community helped make it possible.
The cards attached to this post are just some selections of my favorite cards of those completed so far. The last image on this post should be a gif of the earlier draft transitioning into the new draft for a side-by-side comparison.
You can view the completed Major Arcana, Swords, and Wands via the website:
As always I'm very much open to feedback, positive or critical. Positive feedback helps keep me going, critical feedback makes the work better. All is welcome.
Thanks again r/TarotDecks, and u/Coppernord and u/Previous_Audience921 for the advice and interest. Means a lot to me.
