Does anyone know the name of this doll :)

I passed a shop front and I didn’t catch the name of the store (silly me) and several of these dolls were on the store graphics!

New Momotaro (Basic Nine) from PetWORKS - the girls are giddy

I loved Momoko for years, starting in 2016. Then got distracted by other dolls. Rediscovering these sweet girls. Then I found PetWORKS reopened their global online shop - so I got one of the basic boys. Can't wait to dig out the collection of DollyDolly books to make him some clothes!

New dollie! Guardian 1000% Blind Box BJD Neon Cream!

Just received a blind box doll package yesterday and it's none other than Neon Cream from the Guardian 1000% blind box BJD series by MiraLabs.

She is 1/6 scale, with rooted hair and printed-on face instead of having inset eyes and is a bit shorter than Don't Touch my Bangs.

This is the same company that made Don't Touch My Bangs and you guessed it--the body is strung kind of loosely but it's nothing a bit of restringing can't fix as I restrung my Don't Touch My Bangs Doll.

If that's a deal breaker for you, then I suggest you don't get a doll from this series.

Apart from that, I love the cute painted-on face I love how it looks drawn on.

Her outfit definitely reminds me of 90's to early 2000's magical girls.

My collection of generic anime-eyes dolls 💖

No specific brand name, they don't have any stamps but they're made in China. Some of their outfits I bought separately or hand-sewed, and I customized the dolls myself. I’m just totally obsessed with their cute faces and eyes! 💖

Which Barbie MTM body is the best match for Pullip Eternia?

I recently bought a Pullip Eternia and realized that her skin tone is slightly darker than that of regular Pullips, which are very pale. I’m comparing her to a regular Pullip, this pale fake MTM body, which has the same skin tone as regular Pullips, and Mermaid Odile, which I believe is one of the lightest-skinned original Barbie dolls.

The pinkish undertone is more noticeable in person than in the photos.

Which Barbie MTM body do you think would be the closest match for her skin tone?

ZURU MINNIE DOLLS!

Aren’t they cute? 😂
i collect figs and don’t collect dolls but got curious at how tiny is the “tiniest fashion doll”.

Safe to say my curiosity was quenched.

Where do you think one can buy clothes/accessories this tiny though?

My family of unbranded 1/6 scale anime-style dolls from Shoppee!

I posted pictures of four of my generic anime-style dolls form Shoppee before and I decided why not introduce the rest of the family to y'all?

I didn't post them before because they weren't in the best of condition and I have yet to buy new clothes for them so they look good as new.

I've had these dolls since 2021-2022 and they are in need of a lot of TLC. 🤣

These are very cheap, and I don't know the original cast of thse dolls at all.

Mimia MJD- Sherise Honey Bunny

This is my Mimia MJD doll! This is Sherise Honey Bunny from the Mimia Journal Dreamy Princess House Series. This one is probably the closest I gotten to a BJD Doll! It is high quality and I had to put on the wig by turning it inside out then carefit fit it on her head. BJD collectors are probably used to putting on wigs but it took me some practice! She is an absolute delight! She has the sweetest face and I love the attention to detail! Her hair got slightly frizzy when I was fitting the wig but I got some doll hair fixative and a brush! I be getting another one too!

Doll Highlights - The Integrity Toy Impact: the dolls that followed

This thread will highlight the links between Integrity Toy dolls and several doll lines that, perhaps, were inspired by them. This is meant to be framed in a positive light. Great products tend to lead to adoration and competition, making way for all new fun creations :)

Integrity Toys

https://www.integritytoys.com/

IT is an high-end fashion doll line (limited stock and premium prices for high quality articulation and fashions) that started in 1995 in the USA by Percy Newsum. They have several different doll series that are always expanding including Fashion Royalty, Dynamite Girls, Poppy Parker, FR: Nippon (Misaki), and Nu Face. They have worked with several different franchises including JEM, My Little Pony, and American Horror Story. Theyve also done playline doll series like Zodiac Girlz (with KB Toys and 3 Muses LLC), Off the Hook (subsidiary with Playtend Marketing Group), and Janay and Friends (first dolls created by IT - Janay, Alysa, and Jade were dubbed the IT Girls). Specifically, the FR Nippon line, centered around the character Misaki, was introduced in 2006 in collaboration with Japanese doll makers, Azone International. The series was conceptualized by fashion designer Jason Wu. A prominent designer for IT, who would go on to design his own doll line called Atomic Lab.

Atomic Lab

https://atomiclabtoys.com/

Atomic Lab launched in 2025 by Taiwanese Canadian fashion designer Jason Wu. His inspiration for the line centers around pop culture icons (including sculpts Bettie Page and Nymphia) with a recent release in collaboration with Los Angeles County Museum of Art - "Fashioning Chinese Women: Empire to Modernity exhibition", to create the "Chinoiserie" (Noir) series, celebrating Chinese fashions. These are also high-end dolls so theyre limited release at higher prices in exchange for top tier quality. They also introduced the GlamFlex body that is highly articulated and sturdy. This body will eventually be used by Defa Toys.

Defa Toys

https://defalucy.com/

We already have a working thread for Defa Lucy linked here. They are a good example of the trickle effect from IT dolls and the desire to create more high-end products in asian markets, particularly in China. Defa is also a standout price wise. Whereas the other high-end doll brands listed here average a price of $200 per doll, Defa averages around $80.

https://www.reddit.com/r/DollsOfAsia/s/mBLYIF54Db

JHD Dolls

http://www.mizidoll.com/

Theres already a thread for JHD dolls as well, linked here. Another Chinese high-end doll line by Jiao Huadong. While doing research for this post, I came across a few youtube videos by collectors, Toy Chat (sourced below - great in-depth research and presentation) who noted that initially there was some playful tension between Defa and JHD dolls. JHD dolls made some teasing remarks that Defa must be inspired by them. Its clear this was just joking between the doll lines and a good indication of the growing domino competition initiated by IT.

GMColl and Coterie

https://www.instagram.com/gmcollstudio

https://www.instagram.com/gloria\_miemie

https://www.instagram.com/the.plastic.curator

https://coterietoys.com/

These are two seperate Chinese based high-end doll line companies. They have some professional connections which is why theyre paired here. GMCOLL Dolls offically began in 2025 and Coterie in 2026. GMColl is lead by designers Gloria and Bertan who initially started out as OOAK customizers of various doll bases, especially IT dolls. Their first launch was the Allegra sculpt which initially only included the finished heads but they have since expanded to provide full dolls. Other sculpts include Azealia and Lucia. The main designers behind Coterie has not revealed themselves by name or social media presence as of this post, but clarifications were made that Gloria has partial copyright and design credit for Coterie, particularly concerning the launch face sculpt for Coterie, Maddy. Theyre both indie lines just starting up and creating their brands. Best of luck to them and its exciting to see where each company heads.

Muse Doll

https://musesdoll.com/

Previously dubbed the JamieShow dolls, theyre an American high end resin BJD doll line created by Owen Su and Jamie Zhang founded in 2009. The link between IT and Muse falls on Gene Marshall dolls. First made by Ashton-Drake Galleries from 1995-2005 by head designer Mel Odom. IT produced the dolls from 2006-2010 and JamieShow made them from 2013-2018. Just a bit of fun doll lore and a chance to highlight additional asian creators. Also note, this is not the first major resin cast BJD company for America. That title belongs to Goodreau Dolls back in 2007 who followed the trends from Japans toy company, Volks Dollfie, the company that introduced the modern BJD resin cast and tension strung dolls in 1999 made for mass production. BJD style dolls existed before that, particularly in Europe, but they were made of other materials that couldnt allow for mass production and were mostly focused on baby dolls and puppets for the purpose of photography or storytelling and not true fashion dolls.

Argigi Doll

https://www.argigi.com/

Another Chinese based high-end doll line that has been officially around since 2023 with two face sculpts so far, Argigi and Brigigi. These are a bit different than the other lines mentioned. They may have been inspired by IT, but theyre mostly focused on vintage looks. Their articulation prioritizes a more vintage Barbie type feel as well, with straight arms and snappy legs. They also feature their 'Living Body' sculpt which is bendy and has a smooth silicone look kinda like Licca. They remind me more of Anouk and Mamzelle De Paris dolls (linked in r/Dolls wiki). They have limited releases with more affordable prices around $100, so keep an eye out.

XianXian Princess

https://xianxiantoys.com/

A Chinese budget or clone line that began in 2015. This line is in direct response to IT as a budget friendly option for those who dont have access to IT dolls but maintains the position of creating unique sculpts and styles. The quality of these arent comparable to the other dolls listed here, but these have grown in popularity and are a really fun doll line ranging between $15-45 per doll. Theyre pretty good playline quality dolls with nice articulation, generally. They also have really nicely designed fashions. You can find them on Aliexpress as well.

Hopefully this post organized all the circulating info and sources on the various intertwining and upcoming doll lines. I was getting confused there myself for awhile lol feel free to add any more info or new info in the comments. It was fun to see wll the ways IT has influenced the doll world, especially in asian markets. But, of course, the blueprint will always be ~ Barbie :P

For bjd fans, and mature tiny fans - blindbox surprise

These are the blank "accessories" for the 1000 years of Romance and Beauty series of blindbox dolls. They are bjds (strung) and come with an adapter and kip to fit the faceplate, headback in place. I found them very like in jointing to my Granado 29cm mature tiny bjd, Jade. They are pre-wired in the knees and elbows. I'm hoping to customize them with regular resin eyes (4mm) and hardcap wigs.
They are 10inches tall and they are proportional to PetWORKS Momoko but a tad shorter. They can also wear the momoko shoes well. Hands and feet are similar in size to Curvy Barbies.

A Thousand Years of Romance and Beauty

Included a Barbie to show the size difference. Some of the clothes might fit a Barbie. I bought them all pre-opened off of Aliexpress.

The one next to the Barbie is on a Barbie stand, while the Barbie is on a stand that puts her flush with the table.
