Restyled quite a few of my G3 dolls and also rearranged others so I took some pictures!

What do you think she's doing

I am looking for this doll. It belonged to my girlfriend during her childhood. When she was a child, she had to flee her country. ISIS had burned down the entire city, including the houses. The only thing that would truly mean a lot to her would be to have her childhood doll again one day.

By pure coincidence, we found the exact same doll displayed in a museum. Unfortunately, there was no label, description, or any other identifying information. The museum staff were also unable to help us identify it.

Please help me find it.

For the dyeing of the Ken Denim outfit, I used Rits All Purpose black pretty strong for about 50 minutes at about 160 degrees Fahrenheit to get it black. All Purpose doesn't dye polyester or plastics so all of the jean details stayed, which was a nice surprise. Using the Rit Synthetic dye version over the stove would have probably turned everything black.

I used a Rit ColorStay Dye Fixative treatment after a thorough rinse to hopefully keep the black from bleeding into the underwear and vinyl body. So far so good. I'll report back if I see staining.

Flocking was done with a combination of finely chopped up Movie Ken hair trimmings and Millie slightly yellower toned ponytail hair.

I tried using a seamless action figure body with He-Man to see if it works… and it does! I just have a “minor” problem with the skirt but I like how everything else fit!

This doll wasn’t originally planned, since I’m already working on another look for the black catwalk kitty. But I had an extra Jet head and managed to get some budget Shadow High bodies for a good price, so this hybrid just kind of happened by accident.

I decided not to overthink the styling and simply put together a look from whatever I had on hand. And today I finally finished her Honestly, i think she turned out pretty well for a doll that came together so randomly.

i got this mattel creations alice in wonderland doll a few weeks ago and her hair is super frizzy! even my metal comb struggles to get through it and i really dont want to damage her!! every time i try to fix a doll’s hair, i ruin it a little bit—usually its just a budget doll with poly hair so its fine but this doll was vert expensive and even though i just got her, she’s very special to me. i’d rather not do a boil wash. is this something some conditioner and a warm thorough rinse could do? i don’t really want to even take off her bow

eta: if anyone has any tips on how to keep her collar lying down i’d also appreciate that!!

Sometimes I start thinking about cancelled dolls and it drives me crazy. These are the ones that haunt me most: Candylicious and Kitty K (LOL OMG Fierce), Trashion Alley, Euna (Monster High/Ever After High crossover). Are there any cancelled dolls that leave you imagining what could have been?
