I love a unique face sculpt so I didn't hesitate to buy the Ariel's sisters 7-pack when it came out. I don't regret it since there's some really great faces in there (Tamika is my fav.) I just really wish they didn't have pixelated faces.
They're not the worst I've seen but honestly, for the price, they should've been painted.

Like many former little gay boys my age, my obsession with Catwoman began with Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns. I typically only go for Barbie type fashion dolls, but when I saw they incorporated the white stitching into this costume, I decided to order her to get a closer look.
I absolutely adore her!
First of all, she has heterochromia!!

Her hair is beautiful, maybe nylon, I'm not sure. The fashions are well constructed and quality fabrics.
And her accessories are purr-fection. (I'm very sorry.) A cat shaped bag with a pearl handle that matches her pearl bracelet. Calf length boots with painted buckle and stitching details.
Her mask attaches with arms like glasses, and the ears are on a headband that attaches to those arms, making it all one piece.
Sadly, that makes the mask sit skewed on her face, so I snipped the contact points to divide it into separate pieces. Now everything sits much better, and you wouldn't know it's altered to look at it.
I'm so happy I decided to pick her up because I'm absolutely in love.

I got her used a few years ago and her kanekalon hair was a real mess, so a reroot was inevitable. When it came time to cut the hair, I couldn't bring myself to remove more than the straggling ends because I love how she looks with it super long.
She went on a Model Muse body for styling, and I chose a sparkly jumpsuit paired with this incredible leather jacket with fur sleeves because I wanted her to look like she's stepping out to Studio 54 or somewhere equally fabulous. To be fair, any place that Cher happens to be is inherently fabulous simply *because* Cher is there.

I'm beyond thrilled to add this doll to my collection, specifically because I actually made myself put money aside each month (I believe it's called saving 🤔) in order to afford her.
I told my husband that the couple hundred dollars she cost was still cheaper than what round-trip airfare to Portugal, accommodations, and the price of admission to PFDC would have been, so I'm basically MAKING money on the transaction. He just smiled and said, "She's very pretty." 😄🥰
"Pretty" doesn't even begin to describe her! She's got one of the most beautiful screenings in my whole collection and has the perfect two-toned blonde saran hair.
The earrings are absolutely exquisite. I don't own anything like this shape yet, and I'm obsessed with the faux-cuff effect.
The dress is kind of basic, by which I mean it's almost the exact material as the lamé items in the Neutrals Basics line. Obviously, the brooch sets it far apart, but it just goes to show what's possible yet not provided by Mattel on their play-line dolls.

I bought a bunch of Barbie fashion packs and decided to showcase them simply as provided/intended, without any frills or restyling. No additional accessories were added, except for the packs that did not include shoes.
I'm using Fashionista faces on MTM bodies for my models, and since the point was NOT to transform the clothes, I'm using Fashionista dolls that I've rerooted to make it all a little more interesting.

I decided that if I wanted to display my Looks dolls, I should treat them the exact opposite way I treat my non-Made-to-Move dolls.
I own doubles of all my Looks dolls, either for customization or just to use as body donors because I prefer almost all my dolls to be on articulated bodies.
But, I also really love the look of the line as a whole. So, I decided to take those duplicate heads and match them as closely as I could to the Model Muse bodies in my "spare parts" bin (the ones sitting around after I took their heads for other projects).
Now, I have my duplicate Looks ladies dressed and displayed on these bodies, and I honestly love it so much. It feels great to maximize my collection this way. I get to display these dolls instead of leaving them in boxes after being "cannibalized" for parts. Since I paid for them just the same, they deserve to be out! Haha

I love the pattern on the skirt that came with Princess of Imperial Russia doll but I couldn't find a way to make it work in it's original shape.
So I cut high slits up both sides on the interior fold of the pleat then taped the folds back inward and steamed the edges to get a crisp line.
The top is from one of Ariel's live action sister dolls.
She's perfect and I love her!!

I decided to restyle Angel as part of my "party girls" group for two reasons: one, because she’s gorgeous and I couldn’t wait to freestyle her; and two, I had an odd number of dolls, and the idea of taking potential group shots like that made my eye twitch. And here we are.
I had a lot of fun with this one!
My favorite bits are the asymmetry of her legs, the charm in her hair, the heart-shaped belly button gem, the crystal nose ring, the black-tipped nails, and I absolutely couldn’t resist finally using the Mini Fashions basketball purse. I mean, if anyone is gonna pull it off!
A friend is asking who she is but I can't find her on fashiondollz.
