Officially 30 days gambling free

Man I was sickened with it. 85k life savings gone. 401k liquidated Days away from eviction.. car note was coming up on 90 days past due and they was about to repo it.. I’m still in alot of debt an kinda broke. But it’s been so long since I’ve even went grocery shopping and took myself out to a nice meal. I now enjoy the little things like buying an energy drink.. I was living off peanut sandwiches and stale crackers feeding this demon. I have urges but no plan on going back. I pray for you bros

Just got bad news… need opinions on my situation

I decided to file chapter 7. On 60k in debts

And I have a personal loan and a car loan through a credit union I used to bank at

Remaining balance on loan : $3600
Checking account -$1400$ (swapped banks when I decided on bankruptcy to stop auto payments )

Remaining balance on car $850

I have a car loan through them. It was a 2014 civic 188k miles runs fine…. But I was so excited all I had left on the car was 850$

And my lawyer calls me an they aren’t going to release the title till the 5k is payed for plus the 850$ owed on the car… by the time it’s all said and done done I would have paid around 21k for this car…. (Bought in 2020) should I keep the car or surrender it…. Because they added 5k to my loan on a car that probably isn’t worth that now

First win! Day 16

Got paid yesterday. And after bills had 1k free an didn’t spend anything. 1 month ago I would be broke 30 minutes after getting paid and live off 5$ for 2 weeks. Eating stale crackers for daysss I’m enjoying even buying myself a lunch… still 60k in debt but it’s the small wins seeing a comma in my bank account

Day 16 gambling really doesn’t cross my mind. But I’m in the process of bankruptcy cause I simple cant afford all these loans and I had to send a withdraw slip of all my withdraws and 275,000$ in withdraws in 8 months was deposited into my bank account… an that hurts to see bro when I can even afford a chipotle bowl

From 17-23 I trained consistently went 5-0 amma and 2-0 kicking boxing over dozen Jiu jitsu competitions. What I wanted was to go pro. But I was also tired of struggling. So I got a blue collar lineman job working in the road M-F and next thing I know I’m 29… and finally got a cushion good job where I’m home every night. Single.. no kids. I just went to my first open mat Saturday as a purple belt. And surprisingly got a lot of taps and fell back in love from a 6 year break lol… but my question is it even worth it at my age turning 30 this year to try and get a couple more MMA bouts under my belt And try for a pro fight. Or did that ship sail.

Got myself into a lot of debt by bad choices and 2 months ago decided I was gonna file bankruptcy. Finally saved and found a good lawyer and actually done with paper work a filling this week.

But I haven’t paid this loan company in 2 months and I was ignoring their phone calls. And I gave them my work cell phone number not my company work number. But somehow they found it a called looking for me. And my manager teams me to let me know And now I’m embarrassed should I keep ghosting or tell them I’m filling bankruptcy

Today’s day 14 I’ve banned myself from all apps.
Total lost 100k
55k in gambling debts…
I feel better mentally but still dealing with the repercussions of my mistakes.. just had to pawn my Apple Watch for groceries. Wish I never found this disease I hope to look back in a year or 2 and be happy I beat this addiction
