Girl name that’s classic, but uncommon

Our first is Clara which I absolutely love and with her middle name, we get so many compliments. I feel like I don’t have another awesome combo in me for baby girl 2. I am an educator, so I have sooo many connotations with names and that makes it tough. I don’t hear a lot of Clara’s around me and no old students with that name. I like the name Violet for the second. Looking for other names down that same vein. Thank you in advance!

Unplanned pregnancy 🙃

So I am 39 but will be 40 if this pregnancy goes to term. And I was fully one and done with an almost 3 yo. I gave away all my baby items, mat clothes, and I’m starting a new job in August. I am freaking out. I feel like a teenager because it happened during a drunken night on vacation where my husband made a… mistake, if you will.

I am a roller coaster of emotions right now. I’m very early, so anything could happen, but I already feel very pregnant. I’m trying to wrap my mind around this, but also feel numb and like everything came to a screeching halt. It’s hard even trying to plan anything when I’m so unsure about everything. I don’t want to tell anyone until I’m further along, but it’s so frustrating trying to hide it as well. Ugh… I’m too Type A for an unplanned pregnancy 😩 and I’m worried about needing to go on mat leave after only 5 months working at my job. Thankfully it’s remote and a school, so I hope they understand. I just feel kind of weird about it.

I guess I’m just looking for positive stories from anyone else who has an oopsie at 40ish?
