I am looking for advice on an age waiver for the HPSP. I am 41 years old and planning to go back to medical school next fall (2027). I talked to an army recruiter about getting an age waiver for the HPSP and he acted like that is not possible for someone my age. I have read elsewhere that there are applicants getting approved (army, navy, and Air Force) older than me, even into their 50’s. This conflicting information is frustrating. Would I have better luck going the navy route? Is there truly nothing I can do or do I just need to be directed down the correct pathway? Thank you.
